Hats and Beanies

@davito from the US Navy uniform regulations "Ownership Markings
Surname, first and middle initial (if applicable), on a label on the inside."The label on my watch cap is on the inside of the cap, so it's never been an issue. It's possible that the watch caps used to have labels on the outside, but in today's Navy, it's on the inside.

Nice fit of the watch cap and look at that deck jacket

Yestday it was very cold and very windy, still the BR cap kept me warm (what can't be said about the lousy excuse for a beard. I ended up with my scarf covering my face while pulling the sledge ).

Just a bit earlier in design on the time line as my American Truck on "our cars dream or actual" thread, yes loving things 40s and 50s. Looking cool

Anyone who's seen my pics should get that I'm a fan of the Kromer blizzard caps. Unfortunately the newer ones have screwed up the design to the point of functionality going out the door. This leaves me to either deal with the newer design (have 2 I don't care much for) or hunt down originals.
That is until I found this, a Heller's Cafe by Warehouse repro of the OG design. Pretty stoked to find something so close to the original, even if it isn't wool. Still a little hesitant though not having experience with brand or sizing.
Hoping amongst the Warehouse junkies here, someone has experience with Heller's and can give me a synopsis on quality and sizing of headwear. Any ideas on where else to cop would be appreciated as well, since what I've found is limited

I don't know about the quality or fit, but it sure does look nice. No luck with the Filson caps?

The Filson are a good style, but my opinion is the original Kromer is THE perfect winter cap. The way the ear band pulls down in combo with the brim style/width performs in a way that is unmatched. First, there's no change in fit deployed or not. Everything essentially seals around your head with no discomfort. It was also designed to stay put at high wind speeds without the need for a chin strap or adjustment . The brim and ear panel also block the low winter sun and wind without being restrictive or obtrusive. Throw on a pair of shades with it and it's damn near like wearing ski goggles in terms of protection.
Couple this with ease of use, lack of need to adjust, and for me it's a must have winter piece. The McCoy winter caps look like they could win me over as a future alternative. However when something works this well I tend to stick with it if possible.

I'm looking for a nice Trucker cap - with a certain vintage Appeal. What japanese brands could I look into - found MWS, Flat Head and Samurai so far. Any other nice options?

Tenderloin do some nice ones.

Larry the man behind Hellers Cafe is one of THE OG vintage collectors with a bunch of others . together with warehouse team he creates some of the best repros out of his amazing collection, the stuff is pretty much identical to the originals. I own some repro pieces of them, not the hat though, and am always excited wearing this stuff. @jdl1279
