WAKE UP AND COFFEE

I always pre-rinse my filters. He’s also ask as pre-warming for the vessel I’m brewing into.
I used to use a Chemex daily, but for the past couple years been using a Kalida Wave instead. When I have a group together I like using a vacuum pot for the heightened engagement factor.

Getting the grounds-to-water ratio takes some experimentation, and then it depends on how coarsely you grind the beans. And then you have to figure out how long to brew.
Check out this James Hoffman French press technique on YouTube. I've been using it for a few months, it's good!
I did and it is the best cup of coffee I've tasted out of a French Press…. Thanks

This one popped up in my feed today from when I was doing coffee demos for customers with a Chemex.

Man I did NOT have enough coffee this morning, feeling it. Might need to rectify that.

My brother in law is one of the owners of Wonderstate Coffee https://wonderstate.com/pages/about (formerly known as Kickapoo Coffee) in Viroqua, WI. They started out as a roastery in 2005, in 2010 they were named Roaster of the Year, and since have opened up what will be their 4th cafe once the Madison location is opened - COVID delayed.
I had the pleasure of working with them for a summer when I took a couple years off from working and traveled. Family relation aside, pretty righteous company.

That is rad! I'll check em out for sure…

It took me about 3 or 4 tries but I finally got a sludge free French press cup! Thanks for the tip. Much better flavor as well
