IH-666S - The Devil's Fit Indigo - Slim Tapered
-
I'm sorry to ask this as I'm sure it has been asked before. Gave a look but 118 pages is a lot to digest.
Tried a size 36 pair in the 666 today and to my surprise, could get them on. Knowing a soak is necessary, if I hot soak these while wearing them, will that be enough to bed the stitching and whatnot? I worry that a hot soak will shrink them to a point where I couldn't get them on again. The knee and below was good, as was the waist/top block. The thigh was the only area that was quite snug.
Again, my apologies for not finding this info elsewhere…just a bit excited because I've wanted these badly.

not sure about the difference between hot and cold soak. but mine was soaked "hot" with the shower maxed out to the hottest it can give. anyway this beauty stretches really fast and now, even when i wash them, they just feel slightly snug but after 2-3 hours of wear it feels back to before. so, give them a hot soak and not worry so much. they don't shrink drastically and they stretches out real quick.

IH666S worn since 21st Feb 2012. 1 initial soak and 2 machine wash.
as for the patch, its oiled whenever i feel like it and when I'm not lazy. maybe say 4 times?for the IHB-02 Tan, its been worn for a couple of months (can't remember when i got them but i reckon between march to april this year there about). oiled probably 3-4 times as well. i only oil them when i oil my leather patch.
not much fading going on. guess I'm a slow guy but I'm surely enjoying the process.

the roping looks nice!
thanks mate. i think thats the only nice thing about my jeans now. hopefully as time passes, it'll look better. but I'm in no hurry. just enjoying the process.

a great jeans you have there volcano mate, as you say you have time, dont worry
thanks mate. love this pair of jeans so much. its so soft now they crumble like towel when i place them on my chair.
wear and don´t compare lad…these do look mighty fine!
thanks mate. never compared cos i always felt this jeans tells the story of MY lifestyle and everyone leads a different lifestyle thus the difference in the jeans. and its also because of this that we all fell in love with raws isn't it?

So, I gave these a wash since I noticed what appeared to be a pretty nasty stain left over by the previous owner–which he hid under a cuff--and tried them on to see if there was any real noticeable difference. I quite enjoy the fit. However, they fit perfectly now. Does that mean they're going to be too big?
Edit: Calic, these feckers bleed.

That sounds nice. Waist will give the usual 1 inch in stretch when worn regularly, maybe some little stretch in thighs. From your description i think they are fine. Pls post some pics

I agree with Davito - there's a bit of stretch in them alright but i guess that it'll be minimal seeing as they've already been broken in by the previous owner. You can always try another super hot soak if they stretch too much though i'm guessing you'll be fine.
Yes - pics please! It's the best way of knowing.

long time no see. been wearing my 666S's now for over 3 months straight, I remember thinking they were so heavy and unforgiving when I bought them. They fit like a glove now and have seen some serious abuse without damage.
There's been a few times I was sure the jeans would get torn somehow and they always hold up.
Many bar shows and basement metal shows, even one night in jail…
I want to get the 25oz. because even these are starting to feel thin-ish with the cold.
Oh, and for anyone with a keen eye, I've got my trusty perfecto (PER2) on and the Vibergs as per usual.
I should post some photos up of the Vibergs, I've quite literally had them on every day since I bought them.
