Seems like a noob question, but I have been going back and forth trying to see if these will work for me…
I have the OD BBs in a size 36 and are an extremely comfortable fit- not too tight anywhere.
The waist on the sz 36 666s seems a little excessive, but will need it so the thighs are similar to my BB.
Does anyone have both cuts in a 36 and let me know how the fits compare after stretching? I know the 666s is obviously slimmer, just wondering about than dang thigh..
Sorry for such a noob post.

OK, So here is my virgin post. Just put on my 666's after their maiden soak..aaaaaannd….I love them. Definitiely now hooked.
After a bit of confusion with sizing in the new batch, I've settled with my 30" (having swapped for the 29 that I originally ordered).
I'll get some pics soon, but I couldn't be happier.
So, Haraki San, Arigatou gozaimashita!
And for Winchy, Giles and Paula, massive thanks for the super friendly and really awesome customer service! I really appreciated the ease with which I could fart around with sizes and it wasn't a drama for you guys, even putting aside a pair straight up after I emailed you so I didn't miss out.
Cheers,
RockDoc

Cheers Giles,
I have a bit of a general question now for anybody that might know.
Thanks to being a cyclist, my thighs are reasonably big. The 666's are awesome, but I'm noticing a bit of stretch in the side seam over my thigh.
Is this likely to cause a blowout? Does anybody else have the same issues? I'm not super concerned, but want to stay on top of it if t's going to be an issue later.
Thanks,
RockDoc

You will be ok

^^ i've never seen anyone blow out am outside seam from thigh stretch. Depending on how tight they are and how often you bike, you'll most likely see them wear in the crotch, butt, and inner thigh areas. Just be proactive with repairs as the denim wears thin and threads break.

RockDoc, keep an eye out for the UHR 1955's coming out. They should be a cyclist's dream. As a fellow cyclist, I'm looking forward to a large thigh, but a straight cut from the knee down. The 21/23oz denim is really something else. Should be out in a few months. Put fund away for these bad boys months ago..

I have blown out a couple pair of 13oz Levi's at the hips before, but couldn't fathom doing it in anything heavier. I was horseback a few hours a day over a couple months, so the wear on them was non typical. You might get a similar problem from these if you did the same for years and never washed them, but again that's non typical wear.

I'm really in a bit of a hard place trying to decide between getting the 1955 or the 666 in the UHR. As just discussed My thighs are also big from cycling, about 23.5" round, but I'm really lean otherwise, and need a waist that will stretch to around 33-34.5". The closest I currently have to the 666 cut in the thigh would be something that measures 11.75", and I have a bit of room in the thigh. I don't have anything to reference that is as slim as 11.4 as some of the 666 seem to be in my waist size, would there really be a noticeable difference between 11.4-11.75? I'm just worried about the taper on the 1955 looking too dramatic which the large knee (from what I am used to). It's probably not worth worrying about until the measurements come out, but I don't want to sleep on the 1955 and then not fit the 666 well
Edit: question answered, went to a local big box store and tried on some different Levi's cuts and measured them out, so I now feel comfortable that the 666 thigh will work

I got the 31's from the last run and I love the look but it's a little tight n the thigh. It looks like the new 33's would be perfect as there's more room in the thigh without too much change to the rest of the fit. How can I justify buying a second pair so soon and what to do with the first…

… How can I justify buying a second pair so soon and what to do with the first...
That is an easy one. You justify the second pair because it will fit better. You sell the first pair on the Buying and Selling thread and use the proceeds to pay for part of the second pair. (many of us do this regularly)

If the measurements work and the price is right, you may not need to look far
