Haven't seen much as regards a clothing scene, except that SV Darmstadt 98 swag is everywhere since the side entered the Bundesliga. This is a very informal town and not a fashion center, though the student population occasionally sports some interesting looks.
There is an Iron Heart retailer here, Volls (www.volls.de).
Given the dearth of clothing news, on to the chow options:
–Murat Kebap Haus: Oberstraße 35, 64297 Darmstadt. Best food in Darmstadt IMHO; nice people, too.
--Ban Thai: http://www.banthai-darmstadt.de. Similarly awesome. They just catered a party for us and the food was very well received.
