IH-805 - 21oz Indigo Selvedge Denim Double Knee Overalls
-
After the recent re-stock, and a few weeks bickering with my wife about whether I was buying these or not, I have sadly waited too long and missed out. Is there a timeframe for when they will go back into production? If it’s a year or two at least it’s plenty of time to convince my other half…
-
@Denman-John Hey mate, whats your usual IH pants size please? Im wanting these also, but finding the sizing chart difficult. some say size up, others down. I'm a firm 34 waist but rather looser comfy these days. My recent 25oz 634's are 35.5 for example.
-
@ScottStyles id go tts. If youre between sizes, as these come in even only, id size up. Overalls don’t look as good when fitted imo. I wear 33 pants and my bibs are 34. You’ll most likely want to wear them over something if you plan on wearing them out in the cold. Mine fit perfectly over long johns.
-
true to size for sure. I bought my bibs in a size 34 when I was a size 34-35 waist and they fit great. I'm now closer to a size 32-33 waist and they still fit and look great.
-
@ScottStyles Sorry for the delay in responding. My Iron Heart jean size is 34 and that’s what I ordered for overalls. They fit great with room to move and bend over. My actual waist is right around 34 inches. Hope this helps as they are great overalls.
-
Just my opinion obv but I’m almost always a cuffer, especially with wide hems like on the bibs. I think they look kinda silly hemmed. (YMMV)
-
@popvulture I am usually a turnup as well. The inseam is not quite 36, and I am having a hard time getting the cuff I want. I like big cuffs. If that’s make sense. For now I going to keep rockin the cuff
-
@TinMan When I ordered mine, I got them hemmed with enough room for approximately a 2 inch cuff as I like the look. When I need another pair for work I might actually get them hemmed with no cuff. I do landscaping and have to empty the cuffs of grass clippings almost daily. Definitely not the worst problem one could have, but something I’m thinking about for the next pair.
-
@Denman-John functionally speaking, that’s a great point. The stuff that comes out of my cuffs when I wash my jeans is something else haha. With regular yardwork, that’ll add up fast.
-
I'm always a fan of cuffs, and I usually prefer about a 2" cuff on everything. For my bibs, and other wider legs jeans like my 634s, I've had them hemmed to allow a little extra for a cuff. For my other jeans that are a little more slim, like a 777, I've left those with the full inseam and do the tokyo cuff (or whatever the kids are calling it these days)
-
@TinMan I’m definitely not consulting her when they re-stock
-
@chrisjohnnick Tokyo cuff? I am googling now, or “whatever the kids call a web search now” pretty sure I already know the style of cuff.
-
@Denman-John Thanks heaps mate. I appreciate it.
-
@Matt Thats what I feel too mate. Im def not wanting fitted. I love a looser fit on bibs. Thank you my friend.
-
@chrisjohnnick prob feel better looser now you think?
-
@ScottStyles They do, but they felt great before as well!
-
Ok, so it seems I have joined the club. I found these from a Japanese seller on ebay. size 36. Im a 34-35 IH. I could prob go a 34 in these, but man! loose is comfy as F@#K!
After feeling the freedom in these I dont think Id size down, and they dont look overly baggy. Just dam comfy! thighs are good, any tighter and id be worried. Not sure if they were washed, but I dare say they prob wont tighten up too much even if id did the evil hot wash n dry.
Anyways.. happy bibbin boppers!
