After that Covid shit I needed to give a little treat to myself and ordered a pair of custom Wesco boots:
Jobmaster/8inch/lace-to-toe/Horween natural CXL roughout/#100F sole/natural waxed soles and heels/standard midsoles and heels/GAH hooks and eyelets/brown lightweight upper stitching/white heavy upper stitching/tan nylon laces+extra rawhide laces/natural undyed insert soles

@Mizmazzle those are sick what do they call those?
-
Those look deadly @Mizmazzle awesome!

Thanks @Oaktavia its a custom Morrison configuration. So simple but so robust.
May I ask how you sized them? I'm interested in the western toe but it looks narrow my brannock is 10D/E and I heard you're supposed to go 0.5 down but I'm not sure about the width.
-
These were a custom build with custom foot measuring and sizing. If you have the time to wait, the fit will be the best you’ve ever had!! At least it has been for me.
Custom is the way to go for sure. It's worth the wait to be able to customize the design and ensure a perfect fit.

Thanks guys - I've always been interested in custom but I already have multiple Wescos and feel like I've sunk enough money into trial/error that I don't want to pay the extra $100 for custom. This is probably very illogical haha.
For example, my 8.5E unstructured Wesco 7500s fit me but I just got a pair of Mr. Lou's black wax flesh in 9.5E that are very slightly roomy but also fit (same last MP1339).
Looking to get either a Morrison (91W last I think) or Boss (9165 or 9109) for my next build. I am very likely a 9 or 9.5 in the Boss, does anybody know if the Boss D width = the Mr. Lou (MP1339) E width? I've heard the MP last's E width is like a standard D and it fits me well so I would get a 9.5D Boss if that's the case.
Here's a pic of the Mr. Lou's to contribute to the thread instead of just my questions.

Really been enjoying the hell out of these lately. Saw em sitting in some good light earlier and thought I'd snap a couple pics. Ultimately the snaps didn't exactly do them as much justice as I'd like, but documentation nonetheless…

Love that Natural CXL leather. What great evo @popvulture
-
Thanks man! I feel like that leather does have a really nice way of aging. It's sort of a sleeper.
-
Wow @popvulture the evo on those is amazing. Those look really, really feckin' good!!! Just when I thought having the black horse and brown CXL was enough…
-
Thanks holmes! One thing I really like about nat cxl is the way crocking sorta gives the leather some contrast. Next time I get a sunny day I'll take some pics of these outside where it's a bit more visible.
