WESCO

you can also get a jobmaster with packer upper
My dream boot.
That's actually what I have planned. I was happy to find out that Wesco will do this for no extra charge. I've always had a weird hatred of that heel counter/vamp overlap.

8", packer style upper, Vibram 100 sole, regular toe, brass eyes & hooks, burlap leather. Pretty ordinary, really, but i just wanted a simple boot that will take a beating and last forever.

Yup, after I saw it on your pair, it moved to the top of the list.

Just got off the phone with Chris at wesco; 7" MP toe Packer is no problem.
I'm in!! Well, there's the whole money thing to sort out first
-
Cheers bro! Think I'm sold.
Gonna send my MP engineers for a toe stretch; and will ask for a sample of that leather.
Will update you guys with my thoughts and pics when I get the sample

Haha, sorry bout that. I'll update the photo
The jacket is a modified Aero Dustbowl. Leather jackets are my first true love, followed by boots

forget the flattoe frenzy and buy bumptoes
Me thinks that people believe that ALL old engineer boots had flat toe, but they had soft "bump" toe that then during the use collapsed, creating "flat toe" which all who wear engineers because of the hype crave for.
I might be wrong though….

It's just more comfortable (for me anyway)!
I need that extra room. My toes need space to move up and down. I don't have the bump toe last, just the regular Wesco last for the Boss boots and for me it's the perfect amount of room.

your wife kicked your a$$ again huh?
go ahead & get up, boots & jeans look good.
injun i don't know if folks are going for the "vintage" look or that's just what's happening now a days. always fun (for me anyway) to read your posts
-
Injunjack, some people like the look of a vintage flattened toe, why do you care what someone else thinks looks good? Wear what you like and other people will wear what they like. And I'm pretty sure you're wrong about all vintage boots being bump toes that flatten. Look at ads for engineener boots from the 30's, the toes aren't totally flattened but they already have a low profile.
