Not to let the whole concept of World Tour go to waste, i figured that i would let you see where i work for that denim monies!
And as an extra special treat, and as a nod to G-man for giving me good advice last time we saw each other in person, i figured i would give you all a look at what my everyday carry will be for the duration of my leg.
And So Concluded my Weekend.

^ My homie Derek, it was one of his parting gifts to me before he left for Austin Texas. The other gift was a hangover.

Ok, so earlier this week i had class (mondays and tuesdays) but decided to come back to school on wednesday night to study in the library. Moffitt Library, one of the libraries at UC Berkeley, is often open until 2 in the morning on any given day and has been a tried and true resource of mine when i am needing to get some studying done!
Keep in mind, this is the library during the beginning of the semester (5th week or so) and around 11pm-midnight.
This was my view to what was, or was not, in front of me.
My view to the left of my little study area
My view to the right of my little study area
The reclined view of my little study area DENIM SHOT
A little peak at the book i was reading
One of four syllabi for my classes
MY KICK ASS NOTEBOOK! ROLL ON YOU BEARS!!!!!!!!
And that was the end of my first trip somewhere for all of you lovely people here on the forum. Don't worry, working on more in the very near future.

As an additional bonus, here are a couple extra shots with introductions for both of them.
This first shot is one of the common area of where one of my classes is. It is a nice open area, and i thought it would be kinda nice to give you guys as close to a shot of where that classroom is, and not a shot of the actual classroom because it is boring as shit. Nothing but blank walls and standard desks.
This other photo is a bit more personal. It encapsulates where i grew up and really gave rise to my forum handle. I assume you will all be able to figure it out, so i will leave this description brief.
That's All Folks!

Nice DEP, these are the kind of updates that I really like. I love getting a window into another IH dudes life, like when Kat did his walking update, local stuff from the day to day gives a real personal look at another IH brothers life, and I think it's cool. Thanks for sharing man.

Ok, so this is picking up after an undisclosed amount of days but believe you me that this is gonna be one hell of a stream of posts (length wise, at least)
So seeing as this is a World tour and we are supposed to be bringing all of you fine people into our day to day lives, i figured that i would try to do something that i have never successfully been able to accomplish: Hardboil an egg. I can make scrambled eggs, fried eggs, sunny side up eggs, omelets, and have moderately succeeded in preparing a quiche a couple of times, but anytime i have ever attempted to hard boil an egg i always fuck up. Here went nothing!
While following the instructions i acquired, i had some extra time so i went outside while the eggs were cooking and snapped a couple of photos.
A hummingbird, which i have heard from one of my favorite youtubers, Syndicate, is something uncommon in england.
And here is what you will see if you exit my house and look out into our yard (2 cars missing)
That little 98 corolla is mine. It may be a run of the mill, toy car looking, simple and dull piece of crap in the spectrum of cars, but it is mine and it does the job for me. My little blue soldier. This tree was purchased by my parents as a small christmas tree when i was a baby and they decided to plant it in the yard when christmas was over. 23 years later…
I have 4 street cats that call my residence home. They are from the hood, represent oakland well and will not hesitate to fuck someone up, as is apparent here:
Decided to go back in the house and during the few moments i had before the eggs were to be done i decided to snap a couple of photos of my fridge and freezer. Nothing out of the ordinary and not all that substantially filled, but it is what it is.
And finally, the end result of attempting to hardboil eggs…
SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!! -
So after eating my girlfriend had me run an errand for her: i had to send her perfume. hahahhaa. as un-fun nice way of expressing my disinterest as that was, i went out and did it before heading to Berkeley for studying and photos!
Price of gas at one of the shell's by my house
Here is the post office, looking mighty official and uninteresting.
On the way to B-town, i decided to go ahead and attempt driving and photography, ehh..
This is an exit off of 880 North, as i decided to make a pit stop in Emeryville first. For those even minutely interested in what the hell an emeryville is, it is a little city in the east bay that was a response to the small businesses of Berkeley and Oakland. It now houses an Ikea, Target, Best Buy and a ton of other places that have billion dollar corporations behind them (i ain't mad though, i love target and Best Buy).
Little red car in front of me.
That mini has moves
There once used to be more factories over here, but due to outsourcing over the past 40 years, shit has run dry.
Not paying attention and i stayed in the wrong lane here, i had to turn around and illegally do a U-turn breaking the double yellow in the road; moral of the story, pay attention.
This is more of the emeryville wasteland. Those wanting more of an idea of how this area looks are encouraged to play one of the Fallout games. The buildings are only moderately in use, and there is a shit ton of space around them (the guard made the photo come out a little high, oops)
NOW WE ARE IN BERKELEY!
This building here on the corner is Rasputin Music. A one stop shop for all of your music needs, given that you have never heard of the internet or pirating music. all joking aside, Its totally awesome in there and i often come across movies i forgot i wanted to see for low low prices, which makes me feel good for not paying admission to the theatres if they would only end up in the bargain bin later.
This here is Smart Alec's. Its progressive, serves healthy alternatives to college food stuffs, has very good salads and decent chicken sandwiches, good cornbread and is usually busy. One problem, they only accept cash.
This is the response to Smart Alec's; Pappy's! Serving greasier burgers, fries, BACON, larger salads, better cornbread and accepting credit/debit, this place is owned by one of the previous owners of Smart Alec's. The two owners got into a disagreement a couple years ago and the losing party decided to invest in the recently vacated Blakes(rip). He made it into the direct response to the healthy alternative and also made it into a sports bar that serves not only beer but hard liquor! Pappy, you old dog you.
Up and around the corner from Pappy's and Smart Alec's is this barber shop. I know i took a photo of it, but i cannot remember the name nor do i care to remember. All i know is that they have a decent amount of Playboy magazines in the waiting area and that is worthy enough of a reason for me to share this place with you.
A newcomer, similar to Pappy's, is Manhattan Roast and Grill. They serve up a healthy selection of Burger options at prices that a reasonable using ingredients that are fresh. If i have like 10-12 bucks burning a whole in my pocket and a hunger that requires a Burger, i do not think twice to come get my grub on here.
Across the street from Manhattan is the world famous "Asian Ghetto"! if you come to berkeley, you will know the asian ghetto. If you ever visit berkeley, you will know the asian ghetto. if you are still reading, you now know of the asian ghetto! Anyways, i recommend the thai place, the Korean bbq and the greek place to the left. On the right side is a Donut spot that is open really late to hit your drunken sweet tooth necessities and next to them is a place that serves up Boba drinks. Also, right in front is Gypsys, Italian food, fast and good! they serve your meal with a side of lightly toasted bread and roasted garlic. So sweet, so good.
I will continue the series of posts later, i have a show i need to watch and some scotch i need to drink.
