WEAVING SHIBUSA FILM

Exactly.

@Streetwise:
Is it any good?
Of all the threads and announcements of special showings I've seen I'm not sure I've actually read one review or even brief opinion of how the film actually turned out.
Just bought it. I'll let you know after I watch it…

Finally!

It's really a great documentary, makes you want to get new denim right away. And (not being meant negative), the japanese language and the Music make it easy to fall asleep to.

Really enjoyed it. Definitely worth the purchase to support future projects.

I had a bout of insomnia last night so I finally got around to watching this. I am surprised that they never put this movie on YouTube with ads instead of the only platform it can be watched on being some very obscure platform. It only had 2,300 views. It's kind of a wasted opportunity. I have seen other blurbs about denim on YouTube with half a million views.
I thought the movie was really cool. But I was kind of disappointed in the sense that it wasn't more informative about the actual denim making process and was more about denim making philosophy.
Also, I shuddered when H was talking about not being able to advance the sewing machine and the woman breaking her fingers with a hammer.
I recently saw this that was suggested to me on YT. It is pretty awesome, except the part were they talk about artificially distressing jeans.
