I own the 777-XHS, 777-XHSib as well as the 555-XHSib. All are 32” and hemmed to about 34”. Lockdown was tough but short in Taiwan. Combined with record high temperatures it made it thoroughly impractical to wear these jeans indoors when we had temperatures of 36-37’c daily. I came across the 777-XHSib last week and tried them on, basically they don’t do up. Despite monumental efforts the top button stubbornly refuses to meet. The other 2 have been suitably broken in and are nice and soft. I decided to give them a long soak as they haven’t been worn. Maybe this wasn’t the wisest decision.
Any suggestions apart from the obvious to lose a couple kilos ?

The idea is to use a car jack to get a bit of stretch on the waist. May be you want to give that a try at your own risk!

Good to hear on both accounts. Soaked mine upon arrival as well. First 2 days were no joke but they have eased up considerably little over a week later and my thumbs are now strong as GOT the Mountains’
