For money, I am an engineer. I do very geeky network design/install/support stuff for research & education institutions around the world. Basic idea, we build extremely fast networks that for large data-set transfers. Think SSC (Superconducting Super Collider), Teragrid, super computing type stuff.
One day, the technology we use will be used to get you your porn faster. You're welcome.

i am an engineer too . . . different type, i (did) design buildings (services)
it's a little while since i've been involved in design in it's truest sense, but my general remit is to manage approx £300M turnover pa covering a wide range of engineering/technical/architectural services and represent our geographic location at main board level in a company dealing at approx £5bn
i have written a number of standards that are now used globally and my workplace has long since moved from where i'd prefer it to be . . .

Isn't the SSC tunnel now being used to grow mushrooms?

alright back on the computer so time to contribute.
not that exciting compare to most of you guys. i am a tailor by trade. i have my own menswear label that i wholesale as well as retail out my own store. The label is mainly high end suit shirt and tie.
these days i don't actually get to do a lot of the sewing anymore but i am planning to change that with the opening of another store dedicated to made to measure and the highest quality menswear which of course will stock IH as well
what i did. Before owing my own business i went though half a dozen other jobs in the jag trade. But the most memorable will be the ones i did while going though college including teaching screen printing in our highest security prison and gate control in Rugby test matches…..
