IH-888-NT - 21/23oz indigo Selvedge DWC Jeans
-
Ain't gonna be no next time, I'm going to retire and spend my life is jogging bottoms and a heavy stained vest after this one
-
Friday night chilling with the dog and Toms massive feet.
-
@Megatron1505 did your pair come out how they were originally planned or do they have the smaller thigh?
-
These feel roomier in general than the 21oz, including the thigh, and they have had 2 washes to get the shrinkage out of them.
-
I am praying the full contest run does too because the 21oz version was not for me
-
@Megatron1505 Any chance of a cuffed NT fit pic for us good sir?
-
I'll try and get that done today for you, I'm wearing them cuffed right now but lacking a photographer.
-
Guys , do you think that I should hem these at least 2" more than my desired length due to the length shrinkage after hot soak?

They shrink a little more each time for the first few soaks/ washes. Hemming them a bit longer than normal is a solid plan, even if they end up a little longer than normal you can carry a little extra stacking.

October is approaching fast and I am already thinking about hems and length.
What is acceptable #of folds for denim? One fold ? 2?3? Fold to shorten the length. Just trying to sort maximum # of folds so I don't look awkward .
Typically I like small one fold just to show selvedge on side .
This is all personal preference imo. I've rocked big fat single cuffs of 8 inches when I'm feeling lazy and want the bottom edge above my ankles when I'm wearing sandals. My favorite is probably a couple inch double. I've also done skinny triples just to change things up. They give jean a different feel too. The triple give a fatter cuff and keeps the jean legs more "stove pipe" imo, where the single and double cuffs the fabric moves how it wants to.

ANY DAY NOW… right?
Excited
@Megatron1505 you
Mentioned leaving these hemmed a little longer. I’m your opinion how much ? .5 inch? Full inch? On top of the 2” shrinkage account I mean? -
I'd recommend hemming them 1.5 to 2" longer than usual length and putting a small cuff on them, or living with stacks. Each to their own though.

Ok just so I understand. Let’s say I want to end up with a 30” inseam. Because of shrinkage I Would have them hemmed at IHUK to 32” to account for the shrink. Your advising IYO to add an 1.5-2” to
That? Thanks man -
I didn't think the UHR shrank all that much? I was planning on getting them hemmed 2" longer than my desired length.

My recommendation was just for how I wear them, a little extra length for a ciff or stacks.

Ok thanks guys
