Posted our dog Ziggy on here before, but never my spider. I Was cleaning out my “pet” tarantulas cage and snapped couple pics. His name is lord zephyr, aka lord Z. But since it’s over 6yrs old it may be a female so lately been calling Lady Z. Fun fact the male Chilean rose hair tarantulas only live to be 2-5 yrs old and females up to 20yrs. I used to be deathly afraid of spiders but my old roomie had a tarantula, and eventually held it and got over my fear. I ending up buying one shortly after and got a tattoo of one where first got put on my arm. At the time it was Kinda reminder, face my fears etc, But really just a cool tattoo. This breed is super docile and chill. I used to handle it a lot more when drank years back, but they prefer to be left alone. So only touch him/her when cleaning out cage nowadays. Other than that just look at them chillen or eating crickets. I posted pics lower in case someone may not be stoked on spiders so if you read this far, hope enjoy

, I'm not a big fan of spiders and centipedes as pets either but I really like them aesthetically and I'm enchanted by looking at them. Congratulations my friend for the splendid Ziggy

Thank you, it’s def cool to look at and most friends that come over dont even notice unless point it out to them. Jus chills, and mind own biz, eats crickets like once a month. Since put in the new bedding, did a bunch of late night digging, they pretty much only active at night. Very low maintenance. I have this great fish tank had a beta fish couple years ago but they breed them weird to get all the cool colors they’re kinda hard take care of. Last one had all kinds of problems after few months, tried my best stay on top of everything. But slowley got worse and worse, was a bummer. Been debating on jus getting some gold fish/easier fish take care off since dropped nice chunk of change on the tank/set up -
Not sure if Betty loves me or my merino sweater but she's always on my chest in bed. Some iron heart in the distance of course!
