Sometimes I get really lucky. I have a friend who works at converse who are based pretty close by. He just brought these by for me out of the blue! Black Sabbath Volume 4 ctas pro skate. These are frigging great. I've been skating in the ctas pro's for almost a year now. They're basically a normal chuck with a gum sole and a removable nike lunarlon insole. They're chucks that feel like running shoes. I swear by them now.

How do the CTAS fit Riff? I usually size down a full size on regular chucks

Same as regular chucks.

Thx man

They've re-released the 1970 OX All-Stars in the parchment and black colorways which came out as a first string release last year.
Stupidly enough i did not pick up the parchment lows back then, only the black hi-tops, but with this new release they made two small changes of which one, for me, totally ruins the shoe…
The heel tab is different and now has the modern Converse logo with the star in the "o" and i find it totally unfitting, i prefer the more vintage looking tab used on last year's version.
The heel panel is also different and now made of the canvas like the rest of the shoe.
Not sure if there been any more modifications, to me the canvas also looks slightly different, wonder if it's thinner.
The canvas on the first strings is top notch, sturdy and thick.
Also i noticed on the pics the lows have 6 rows of lace holes, and on pics i've seen of the first strings these seem to have 7 rows, but it might be that this differs per size.
Imo these changes are a missed opportunity, don't think i'll pick these up after all. -
Great eye for details mich. I think I'll compare if I find the time. . .

^Picked up some of the re release OX 70's in red…
I can attest that the canvas on these is definitely sturdier than regular chucks. Beefier laces and eyelets, and super comfy insoles too. Most comfortable cons I've owned. May have to pick up the other colorways too…
where from mike?

Local shop had them in, but they are pretty widely available online. Converse.com and zappos even have them, amongst others…
