@Kasi Go on snag one Mo! Wills & Wu Style!
-
If someone has a well worn in Wills Jacket, I'd like to see some pics.

I agree with the previous comments regarding the lack of communication regarding the Sashiko shirts. I’m pretty over the constant delays and lack of clear communication and time
frames. The products are excellent and extremely well made but the associated headaches make me wonder sometimes. That said, I’m expecting I’ll be receiving an email confirming my G42 Wills in the next month or so - a full year ahead of schedule!
-
@Mizmazzle the soak takes it down a bit but it's still awkwardly high
I've owned probably half a dozen of their hats over the years and with wear they all settle down.
The catch 22 is putting in repeated wears on a hat that looks a little "off" for the first month
-
I got mine today and man I think it's too tall.
-
That’s helpful. Are the hats with foam and with foam different in height?
-
@bluemantra I "think" they are all the same size.
The only difference I remember is that the waxed (no foam) canvas hats they used to offer seemed shallower from the get go
-
@GraemeE From my experience with their hats, this makes sense to me too. I wear one of their woodland Camo hats and it fits great. I noticed that the widows peak area of all SJ hats is a bit tall. Even on the waxed hat, it’s just the waxed hat collapses unlike the foam.
I have a duck mesh trucker with foam that sits high on my head and has not relaxed, but I get used the feel of it after wearing it for a little. I think they look great, even with a bit of height in the crown. Also that Pharrell reference was spot on
-
@Mizmazzle I left the brim out of the hot water
-
I asked Mike in a Ship John Live on Instagram about the sturdiness of the brim post soak. He said he soaked the brim of the test hat and that it “feels the same as the brand new one”.
But I know hats with cardboard brims could get ruined by soaking them. I did not ask what the brims are made out of.
-
@Danimal506 Good info! I agree...I've ruined hats before by getting the brim too wet. I'll probably play it safe and keep that dry.
