@Matt – I'm a fan, especially of the first one lol
New one I got yesterday at Idle Hand here in San Francisco:

Just tryna look tougher than I rly am
-
@LewisStonehouse I didn't get a chance to say (so many folks so much to discuss) during the IHHH thst your hands look sick! Did you get them both on the same day?!
Here are mine
Flowers are 9-10 years old, Jack o' lantern is 8 years and black mamba was 4 years ago. I tattooed all the black on my fingers and most of my wrist hand poked over several months. Symbols I got in my 20s so 10-15 years ago.

Lots of work done yesterday, but I provided a slightly larger canvas than he had anticipated, and some characters needed to be shrunk slightly to be the correct scale, so we have some space to fill. Also thinking of putting Helios (the Greek sun god) on the top, riding his chariot across the sky, to cap the shoulder. He should be able to squeeze me in for a couple of hours without the 12-month wait a whole day's session took!
Thanks for the advice everyone on surviving a full day session. Sweets definitely helped when I was flagging in the later evening.

Turned out well, looks great

Thanks @Nkwkfld !

Jesus H @EdH That's a super sick sleeve. I rly like the collective vision of you and your artist with this one.
-
thanks @henry_david, I appreciate it! The artist is absolutely nailing his brief. Was able to see him drawing the Hydra next to the elbow "live" to fill that gap we created after Poseidon and Aphrodite got shrunk down and put in place, and it was fun to collaborate more closely on the design on that one in particular. A few gaps to fill, but almost there.
Wife thought it was a bit of a shock to have me come home with a full sleeve; "I suppose it's the difference between being a 'person with tattoos' and a 'tattooed person'".
Must go apply some more Hustle Butter…

Yes!! Gunning to be more of a tattooed person/heavily tattooed person personally. I think a back piece is sorta the thing to bridge the gap. When's the next session, @EdH?

He's going to try to fit me in at the end of April. It's a 'hold these evenings free, and I'll call/text you with a 1 hour warning if it looks like I'll be able to fit you in" kind of deal! Busy guy!

I've got the bug too. There's a shitty old tribal done waaay too small (was my first tat and it matched my modest ambitions - and budget - at the time) on one of my pecs which is begging for a cover up. I'm also looking at some of Alex Grey's work (the artist that does Tool's album art - https://www.alexgrey.com/) and thinking of finding someone who does good geometric pattern work…
-
You ever heard of Brody Polinsky? He's … epic. https://www.instagram.com/brody_polinsky/?hl=en

Interesting, but totally not what I had in mind! Alex Grey's/Tool's art is more transcendental, psychedelic, anatomical, and repeating, etc, and much less runic(?). I'm really digging this for some reason, for example: https://www.alexgrey.com/art/transcendental/the-great-turn

Oh daaaammmmmnnnn. Yeah not at all the same
