@Daniel-San Nice lines! Excited to watch this one too.

@Daniel-San very clean lines!! That’s going to come to life so nicely!! Reminds me it’s time to finish my right arm!!
@scarfmace bro!! As I know you know, dealing with your demons ain’t never gonna be easy!! Best of courage to you on your journey. I always see sessions as therapy. Emotionally and physically drained…but somehow lighter feeling after.

A few new bangers yesterday. A rose, a little filler flower in yellow, and a speed skull! Also, I don't know about your tattoo shop, but mine is always cold! My favorite trick for being comfortable is a down vest. It allows access to the arms for tattoos, and keeps the core warm. Highly recommended!

@seawolf Rather it be cold than too hot...I used to spend quite a bit of time in my friend's tattoo shop and saw a few people pass out when the adrenaline rush kicked in.
The best one was a woman who never had a tattoo before wanted an entire back piece done. It was her first session and he only made a few lines before she bit the deck...She decided after that she didn't want a tattoo.
A few tough guy's too who were getting their first tattoos...you could see it in their eyes when they were getting ready to go. Completely blank stare and then boom. They almost always said, "Is it getting hot in here?"

Full disclosure: I was getting my back done and he was doing some shading over one of my kidney's when the hot flash hit me. It was the only time I had to tap out for about 10 minutes while I regained my composure. The pain level was pretty intense in that one area and the only spot when I flinched when he first started.

@goosehd As my tattoo artist is fond of saying, "getting tattooed sucks." And he's right. But he's also the fastest artist I've ever been tattooed by, and between his skill and speed, I'll keep going back. I have a piece from about 20 years ago that took 22 hours over several sessions, and I'm confident my current guy could knock out that same amount of space in less than half of that time, and it would look a whole lot better.

Had a touch up done and got a new piece yesterday. My son’s Winnie the Pooh is actually yellowish now. Actually matches the shade in the scene perfectly. Really happy how this was fixed.
And a pine cone for my recently passed father. Thought they came out great.

I don't have any tattoos but still appreciate them and this thread in general. One of my favorite youtube channels did an interesting feature on them as to what's really going on when you get one. Probably all old info to those of you who have them, but still found fascinating.

@pechelman There's also this one, which makes it look brutal (though Gav is not a professional - my guy thought he was going too deep in places). It's less about the healing and immune system, more about the mechanics of actually getting one.
-
Thanks @EdH! The slow mo guys have a few other videos I enjoy too, but I confess to get impatient with their videos and go right to the highspeed video I wanted to see. The kurtzgesagt video has one animation of the mechanics which looked just as brutal as that actual video closeup. At least it was to me!
