IHSH-202-WHT - 10oz Selvedge Chambray Western Shirt - White
-
Funnily enough it’s the whole reason I bought the 202. I love this Old dirty Patina that natural Denim, or in this case Chambray gets after some wear. The bleeding from my denims is really starting to show. I like ke the Indigo overdye you did and it looks great indeed. But , hey. Different strokes and all that. Haha

@Jim I am drooling over your progress on this shirt. I think it is exactly the aesthetic that this shirt needs. Unfortunately for me, I knew I would never have been able to hold out long enough to get this shirt there (after one wear I was already contemplating a wash), so I decided to go the other way. But you are definitely working on a masterpiece there. . .keep up the great work!

@leatherdenimcanvas Thanks! I must say yours also is a great alternative and is going to look amazing with wear.
I’m gonna keep on this on Wand see how long I can hold out before washing hehe -

A year of no posts… can’t believe it - we asked for years to have these remade lol [emoji23]
I will admit, I sized too small on mine. The taper on the waist and larger shoulder meant I could either go skinny and wear as an “over shirt” unbuttoned with a trim fit, or get the larger one and nuke it.
I wear it often, although never very hard, and have yet to wash it. If I button the bottom button, it needs to be tucked is, due to no extra room to fit over a waistband, but I dig the “sloppy” aesthetic and selvedge details wearing it kinda open [emoji12]
Also, pimped it today with a pin from an old friend that started a clothing brand based in Fort Worth, Tx - my “hometown.” Not sure why the part of town we grew up in is often referred to as “Panther City,” but the pin is cool none the less

I would love to have this shirt even though I would spill hot sauce or coffee on it immediately.

I think someone said in here to either keep it clean or wear it into the ground; frankly it’s easier to do the latter for me. Sadly, only about 40 wear days in three years, and zero washes as you may have guessed. It’s a little too heavy for summer and a little too light for winter, but great in the shoulder seasons. I still wear it to work on the weekends when the brass isn’t around, actually like wearing it for trail work and that certainly helps dirty it up!
Pimped with turquoise snaps. And now with a ring around the collar!
I’d have thought the darker parts of the combs would be the high points of the fabric as elsewhere, but it looks like the opposite.
Some nice roping. A healthy mix of dirt, indigo bleed, and wax from waxed canvas pants.
Despite this all, I don’t really think it smells. I am definitely a super sweater (will get dried salt on my face and clothing during from her exercise), but I don’t seem to have bad bo. Or maybe I just can’t smell myself!
