These are the stiffest pair I’ve had. I feel the size is right, but it’s just hard work to break them in. They’re snug behind the knee, like they snap at me, and I feel the top button without the feeling that they’re tight to my b***. I haven’t soaked them. Will that make a big instans difference?
Everything else is fine -
Will I be rewarded by the gods of denim, Mr. Padmore?

How do these feel compared to 21oz? I realized yesterday I might need something lighter than 21oz for warm weather.
These seem to sell out but no one talks about them.

The consensus is they are nice denim, but not necessarily more appropriate for summer wear than the 21oz. Despite the weight difference, the 14oz has a tighter weave than the 21oz meaning they do net breath as well. I love 21oz in the summer personally, but when it gets over 26-27C I tend to go for lighter weight, non-denim fabrics like wabash on my legs.
They certainly sell well, but I'd hazard a guess that while some forum folks own them, most are more interested in the specialist denim IH offer. A lot of newer, or casual IH customers go for these, and that demographic isn't as well represented around here.

Ah thank you so much. I started reading about the 14oz jackets to glean some info. I do have a pair of 21oz (no lot) so that should be better in warmer weather than 14oz. I just happened to see a picture of the 14oz indigo and the color looked different than my 25oz and I got curious. I'm learning a lot. You are quite knowledgeable about the world of IH.

@GardenState I have a pair of the 14oz in the 555 cut (on left) and 21oz, in the 777 cut (the 14oz I have had probably 6 months longer), and if I'm honest I havent really noticed any difference when I wear them in the summer from a breathability aspect - the tighter weave counter balances the denim weight - but the 14oz I do find a bit more comfortable in the summer to move around in (cycling etc) which you tend to do as you are out and about more. I find also the 14oz denim is a bit more electric blue in colour. Hope this helps!

Hey, really appreciate this too. Giles should have a referral program lol. I may pull the trigger on a pair of 14 Oz. I have systematically replaced my pants with Iron Heart pants. I just like the feel of the fabric. And it seems more quality than some other popular brands (some of which feel downright cheap in comparison). I mean come on if the pants are 300 plus the pockets should be lined. One of my favorite details about IH (that and the "W")
Nevertheless, I really appreciate the side by side. The internet is pretty limiting in what you can see and assess.
