Visvim

Every pair of Visvim that I've owned has been made in Korea, not sure where they are made these days though. Wherever it is should not be a reflection of the quality, as Visvim are top notch.

Finally found a pair of black virgils in US8
Seller didn't double box it and taped the box as it so box is kind of ruined from me taking off the tape but i don't plan to sell these so i don't mind much.
If anyone can do a legit check that'd be great since these are my 1st pair of virgils but they look ok to me -
Damn. Those are seriously sick…..great choice !

Hey lando, what size are your grizzly boots? How does it compare to your red wing size?
I'm thinking of getting a pair but am not sure yet about the size, because I wear a size 8.5 rw, and i wear size 10 in virgil folks..Same exact size as my RW. US11. Same as all of my Visvim (excluding) Hockney which are US12 but should be US 11). You could prob do a 9 and wear thick socks.

Without taking it personally, or getting overly offended, could someone explain to me why visvim footwear fetches as much as it does when the majority of these pieces are made in China? ( I know, I know, tired argument. But, I'd rather hear some opinions on the issue here by some people who I believe will come about it rationally than at, say, another forum where such a question will likely encounter passive aggressive retorts or all-out visvim bashing.)

I've been looking to snag some kiefers for a while now, but I have no clue how to. What do you guys think would be my best bet? I'm just looking for some black ones…nothing too crazy...

Got these bad boys today. In a very hard to find US 12.
A cool story behind it too. There used to be this sneaker market in my town that was held once or twice a year for a couple of years. I guess it was in the fall of 2008 that I tried this pair on at one of those occasions, a guy was selling them at his stall. I tried them on, liked how they looked and felt but at that time I decided not to buy them even though the price was right. Once or twice a year after that I've come to think of these and every time I kicked myself for not getting them that time. Never did any serious effort to find out who the seller was or how to get in touch with him….
Until this morning, when I once again was looking at cool pics of Visvim shoes, I decided to do a quick google and stumbled upon a really old sales thread in a forum where I found a pic of these and the guys email address.
I emailed him and asked if he still got them and the answer was yes. And so it happens that he lives two blocks from my house. What a happy day.
