Found an old pic of my dear friend Rufus, who passed away in july 2009. I think this was taken on christmas eve 2003 when he was 1,5 years old.

RE: Bicycles
Got this a week ago, and it's an absolute hoot to ride. I can't believe how well balanced it is and I've sure missed the speed carrying capability of a 29er. So happy!
I've got an enduro race coming up in a week (the most equipment punishing one of the season :)) and I'll do that one with the Capra but after that I'll put it up for sale and I'll do the rest of the races this season on the Instinct. I'll probably have to be a bit more careful with line choices but since I'm racing just for fun I don't mind.

RE: Bicycles
Just ordered this beaut:
Rocky Mountain 2018 Instinct C70Still love the Capra (just got a coil shock for it) but after 2 years of use I'm even more convinced that a mid-travel 29er is the kind of bike that works best for me and the type of riding I do (or at least 95% of it). Tried a mate's carbon YT Jeffsy and it felt so nice and light that it got me all fired up for a new bike. Wanted something with a bit more reach than the Jeffsy has and it came down to the Norco Sight or the Instinct. And since the latter looks nicer and I got to test ride one that's what I'm getting. The sad part is that it won't be delivered until July so it's going to be a long wait..
Gonna race the Capra in our national enduro series this year (my third season) and after that I'll decide if I want to sell it or keep it for enduro racing and bike park duty.

RE: IHSH-127-V2 - Ultra Heavy Buffalo Check Westerns
Had to sell all my IH shirts a few years ago due to weight loss. Today I popped by my local IH dealer after lunch just for fun, tried this one on and you all can guess what happened next It just felt too good not to buy it. Also wearing my almost 7 year old 634s'.

RE: Oak Street Bootmakers
I just received a pair of those same bluchers. Seem really nice for the price paid (sale) and since I've had no problems with my trench boots I feel quite confident about these too. Was a bit of a gamble on the size since I'm usually somewhere between a 13 and a 12 and my trench boots in 13 are quite roomy even though I wear them with a thick sock. I ordered a 12 in the PTB and was quite certain they'd be too small but they feel nice and snug with a medium thickness sock so I guess they'll be perfect with a thin summer sock since these will be summer shoes for me (leather sole and all).
Stitching is nice and uniform and pretty much flawless otherwise too on quick inspection.

RE: Bicycles
So jelly!
Bike update. Mondraker was all sold out of carbon Dunes in my size so bit the bullet and ordered one of these:
In a totally different league but still a very very nice bike for the money. Point it downhill at let loose. Surprisingly nice to pedal uphill too! The Yari seems to be a really good fork too based on the little time I've spent on it, can't find anything yet that would justify upgrading to a Pike.
Also spent a week in Spain training for the upcoming race season with my team. Had good luck with the weather and got some proper tan lines to cultivate

RE: Watches - another OCD problem
Nice Steelfish! That blue dial is so beautiful. Used to have a cream dial one myself.

RE: Bicycles
Just placed an order for a Mondraker Dune R Carbon. Wanted something a bit more aggressive than the Rumblefish for the upcoming season, planning to do a few enduro races this summer. Have to wait until march to get it though
Originally I was planning to upgrade the frame only but it seems longer travel 29ers are phasing out and 27,5" seems to be taking over pretty much everything. Would have needed to swap the fork too for all the available options so decided a new bike would end up more cost effective even if I sell off the old one cheaply.
Wanted something that can cover all my mtb needs, trailriding, bike parks and enduro races and according to the reviews the Dune might be the ticket. Probably not as good a climber as the Trek but loads more fun on the way down. Looked at the YT Capra and the Devinci Spartan too but decided to buy locally. The same friend who sold me my Treks (and my Ellsworths way back) imports Mondraker too so I know I get backup in case there's problems. A few friends of mine ride aluminum Dunes and I've had the chance to test ride so I pretty much know what I'm getting into. I was way too cramped on the L sized one so going for the gargantuan (on paper) XL. Geo should be pretty spot on for me. I'll switch the dropper post for a Race Face one because the Reverb sucks in freezing temps but otherwise I'll go with the stock build. Haven't had Avid brakes in a long time but I'll give them a chance and switch them out if I don't like them. Probably the wheels too if they give me grief.
That Nicolai does look interesting though, hope it'll be a lot of fun!

RE: IH-555S-BLK - 21oz Black Selvedge Super Slim
Yeah I've lost quite a bit of weight due to cycling this year (well last year actually haha). Had to sell each and every one of my IH shirt because of that but I guess that's a positive problem.

RE: IH-555S-BLK - 21oz Black Selvedge Super Slim
Snagged these tag 34:s in the sale and just got to try them on. Pretty much exactly what i wanted, slim but not uncomfortable. Waist is spot on (35,8"), top block feels good, thighs are a bit tight but these will easily stretch the needed little bit. Will probably sit perfectly when softened up. I think I'll keep these!
Love the black 21oz denim too!
