SExIH07IIIBK (Self Edge x Iron Heart Type III Modified)[OG]

Unfortunately, I did not buy myself a SExIH07IIIBK Type III Modified Jacket today. But I was at Self Edge because I needed a pair of IH bootcut – which I bought from Giles -- length shortened. Derek was working today -- apparently Kiya, Ginno (and PS...LandoCal) are at the Inspiration Festival in Santa Monica this weekend.
But of course, I had to try a size 36 on, and the jacket looks beautiful on me. I am extremely proud of the discipline I had -- to not purchase it ! Of course I want it, but I just can't afford it at the moment. One thing I gotta mention -- it's heavy as fuck -- so don't be deceived that it's just a regular old denim jacket. Now I see the justification of the hefty price tag -- this jacket can easily complete with a good solid leather jacket.

Disagree. Looks bulky.
I agree with Seul about the fit. I know I should have said it earlier to you, but it is just too big IMHO.

Guess what ? My Mom agrees with LandoCal and Seul. She thought the SExIH07IIIBK jacket looked boxy and big – and also a bit manly. That's not the look I'm after. Maybe if I were taller I can pull it off but not otherwise. Thanks for your honesty LandoCal and Seul. I'm gonna pass and save my $$ for other IH products coming down the pike.

+1 on Seul and Lando's comments. Too big under the shoulder blades. Did you try to see how it fits when closed? I mean, yes, once it softens up it will conform to the shape of the body a bit better but overall this is still too big. If you compare that to your new Schott, the Schott fits way better.

Thanks tfar. You've sealed my decision to not buy it ! I think I'm just so mesmerized by the beauty of the material that I wanted to find some excuse to bring that jacket into my life. The denim is just amazing to the touch. I did try buttoning it up…it's funny, even with a track jacket underneath it was baggy.

Well, the material can be as good as gold and the cut can be in itself perfect and the style can be wonderful (in fact, I'd say all three are probably true, I like it better after seeing it in these pictures than I like it from the website pics) but if it doesn't suit you, it doesn't suit you. The Melton wool shirt would probably be a better buy but we have talked about that. Also, on the jeans jacket I would like to see some zig-zag stitching like on the old Lee jackets. That was just cool. I have a Lee jacket from the 80s, I think around 87 or so that has that. Haven't worn it in a long time. The classic look is to wear jeans with a white T, a jeans jacket and a bomber leather jacket (brown) on top of that. I might try that when I want to disguise as a macho. Put the Panerai on and the Jodhpur boots and then hit on teenagers in the disco (in Germany 18 and 19 y.o. can be found in discos). Creepy! ROTFL!
