IH-634-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Loving the responses. Never done anything below or above 21oz. Sounds like 25oz is quite the joy - just wouldn’t want to taint the 21oz long term love affair
-
Lately I’ve had a few 21oz (OD, SBG) but none in straight up indigo — haven’t had a pair in the classic since my very first pair of IH 555s (unless you count bibs, which I love but don’t wear a ton). I really love the 21oz indigo but just keep getting distracted by other stuff. I hope to snag a pair of 634 in 21oz one of these days… I’ll get to it. Got some fading to do first .
XHS and UHR are my faves for sure. It’s really not easy taking my focus off of em.

@Oaktavia hot damn think this says it all - beautiful. Assume not been all roses to get there though
-
@long_john86 thanks man I'm really happy with these. Trying to stick it out longer before a wash. Hoping the combs will show up more before I do.
-
“Fearsome reputation among denim heads”
I’d reserve that for the UHR. That thing is too much for me. The XHS is butter in comparison.
-
@drewfonse you really think so? I have UHR and was hoping XHS would be even more tough and rigid when I finally grabbed a pair..
-
@T4920 UHR i more rigid amd doesn’t soften up as quick as a pair of XHS imo. Like @Oaktavia said they’re smooth and buttery UHR gives you rawness and rigidness but is rewarding you with sick fades. XHS is a fading beast as well but UHR fades are definitely something else. You need them both, clean and simple

I found the XHS to be much more comfortable, personal tastes. Even at 25 oz.
After a hot soak, I didn’t find it to be a chore to wear at all. Early days with it, but things will just get more soft and pliable as they go.
It’s hard to describe how the UHR feels. Doesn’t have the snuggly, cozy feel of the XHS. Still amazing, though. I just much prefer the XHS.
-
No disagreement here. I love my different 14 oz pairs, and they still look really sharp.
Fade trade off? Sure, but ultra comfortable and wearable.
-
Once you go 25oz your never go back.
Put some elbow grease in it they become mega soft.
Sometime I can’t be bothered I will wear the 21oz keep the comfort of softness.
UHR. The first version was the best, second version doesn’t feel stubborn than the old version.
I worn 18oz Beatle buster. Only pair I went lower to.
14oz to thin for me. I will rip them in few weeks, won’t handle my job.
