Thanks! I thought about the soak and wear damp method but my jacket is perfectly fitted to me…any shrinkage would be a problem so I’ll just wear it constantly.
-
@nwills wear it every single day all day and even at night when you’re home and relaxing. You’ll be surprised how quickly it softens up.
As for the shrink if it gets wet…it should be minimal if at all if cold water is used. Don’t put it in the washing machine but just cold soak in the bathtub. The agitation of the washing machine is what causes the most shrinkage when a garment is new.
If even the smallest amount of shrink scares you…then don’t soak it dude. You may have to just not wash it ever. Which is something we have to deal with to maintain a perfect fit sometimes. Though that is rare.

Black Denim Shirt
As a fan I am starting to accumulate a nice collections of jeans, jackets, and flannels, and am ready to pull the trigger on a denim shirt. I am giving serious consideration to the Kersey, the Double Cloth, and 10 oz selvedge, and the Mock Twill, all in
Black all in Western. I am leaning towards reactive dye liking the less fading but maybe the overdye or sulphur dyes age nicely with some fades? Any recommendations to get me into a denim shirt…sooner than later -

@Tago-Mago Might want to check out Zerrows as they have a fantastic offering and they are built really well.
Edit: Added link: https://zerrows-onlinestore.com/en

@Tago-Mago Truman Boots kinda fall in between Red Wing and Viberg/Lofgren/Wesco price wise. They have a solid build as well and some interesting leathers.
Nicks Boots also has some really solid builds for a bit less than Viberg as well.

@Tago-Mago Truman, Oak Street Bootmakers. Truman offers some very cool leathers and occasional MTO runs.

I’m wondering: When IHUK does a pocket bag repair, how do they go about that? Do they replace the whole pocket bag, or just repair the hole?
I get chronic pocket bag separation on all my IH jeans. Where the bag attaches to the upper seam of the pocket. Wish I could somehow preemptively reinforce that area before the separation occurs.
