Burning denim fuzz?
I love that clean look and feel of a new pair of jeans when they are smooth and the weft really pops. We've all experienced the fuzz that appears as they begin to break in. I was sitting on my porch the other day, relaxing with a lighter in hand (make your own conclusions there), and out of curiosity I started burning the fuzz off a pair of 21oz 634s that have a little over a month of wear. It did return the clean look, and made the white weft pop like when they were new.
I was curious if anyone else has done this? If so, did it affect the jeans in any other way such as fades or durability? I'm tempted to break in two pair simultaneously, burning the fuzz on one pair every couple of weeks, and seeing how differently they develop.

I feel like there used to be a calendar of potential restock dates, but I could be wrong. Does this exist? None of my pants fit after sorting some medical issues last year and I’ll be needing to upsize.

@iammortalcombat nothing far reaching in the future, no. What models are you interested in?

@Alex will be looking for some new 888s which breaks my heart. Didn’t even get to wear a couple pairs more than once last year. However the medical issue was a bit more pressing to resolve.
I’m thinking 14-17oz will be what I’m looking for on restock this go around.

@Alex totally fine - I’m holding my 21s hoping I can get back into those soon since I had worn them for a few months all fall

Trying to find info on this jacket, but hitting a wall. Anyone recognize this model?

Maybe a random jacket someone added an IH patch to?

@Go-For-Chill I saw one just like that on eBay last night.

Well now I’m really curious. These are the only other photos of tags.

Random question for @Giles or anyone who has been around for some time. It is my understanding that the 666-XHS was born around September 2011 from a pair of 25th anniversary special edition for the store VMC which were then added to the continuous production line XHS. So here lies my question. If I got my hands on a pair of the VMC variety release version from 2011, would the quality be the same as a pair from production today. Meaning did they improve on this formula as years went by or would the 2011 VMC recipe be the same as today’s version. Did they make improvements in regards to any aspects of production or on the other hand was the old version of higher quality? Just wondering as I can me across a pair of this nostalgic pair of first XHS variety? Regardless this is very cool to know how the XHS came to fruition?
