IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Yeah, I don't know where to send them to get them hemmed, and I worry about them getting messed up or lost in the mail. I bought a pair of IH-555-03s to wear for the summer, but I am still wearing the 25-666s.
Everyone talks about denim evolution as something that's more of a visual thing. But, with these I value the textural, and feeling quality to their evolution more than the visual aspects. These seem to get thicker and softer everyday. I honestly can't believe how silky and soft these things are now. I likened them to wearing sheet metal when I first put them on. Now they feel almost like a combination of suede and silk. The sheen of these almost looks like they are made from a synthetic material. I own 4 other pairs of Japanese selvedge denims, and none of them hold a candle to the texture and softness that these have.
They really are wonderful.

Thanks Giles and Roger!!

…...There are only two choices. Ask around a lot. Or mail them off.
I had the same concern, and was not willing to mail mine off, so I asked around various local tailors. One flat refused. One didn't communicate well enough for me to be comfortable leaving them. And then one said it would be no problem - she has a heavy machine that can also put buttons on leather. It cost more but she did it. No chainstitch obviously. And I was nervous she might eff it up and turn them into an ebay special. It all turned out ok. -
Thanks Seth.
I would mail them off if someone could suggest an appropriate service.
I wish Rain at Self Edge would hem them for me… but they don't accept mail ins.

Frothin'! Just got my xhs' in the post today. Bruising of the thumbs and hips occurred on visual contact. Holy shit these are a serious piece of quality denim.
In terms of fit, had to lie down to button up. For anyone interested, my true waist is 32.7 and I ordered a tag 32 and they feel alright. My plan of attack is to wear for a bit before first wash. Let the battle begin.
Fit pics below. Didn't have enough light so had to use my flash.

Thanks brother.
@shredder tight is definitely better. About 3 months of continuous wear and you'll have the softest most comfortable pair of jeans ever. It's like night and day in terms of softness.
-
@shredder that's a great fit, washing the 25oz is always a good idea before wearing them a lot.

I got my pair and they're perfect. Would have been here Saturday but the office was closed, so got here first thing this morning. Ducked off into the bathroom for a quick try on. The waist is perfect sized. I didn't want to struggle with all of the buttons (they are going to destroy my fingers), but I was able to easily get the top button done with just the right amount of pulling. The top block fit is absolutely perfect and I love the rise on them. Not too high, but so much better than the low-rise trend out there.
The starting measurements that I could get done quietly: size 31, waist 32", hem is a hair under 8". My TTS waist size on most denim is about 32.5". So definitely different numbers than on the UK site, and I'm very, very glad I didn't go up to a 32. The legs are still a bit long and a bit wider than I'd like, but I'm going to give these a hot soak and see where they go from there. Rodeo Bros said they shrink about an inch in length and an inch in the waist (from which I'll infer about 1/2" in the hem). That should bring them closer to what I'm looking for. Not worried about the waist shrinkage, as sanforized denim always seems to stretch back out to original waist.
So yeah, these are awesome, and the denim itself is awesome feeling. Unfortunately, these will mostly be a weekend/afterwork jean, as I can't wear jeans to work. But I plan on making it count when I can.

Yeah it's pretty funny. Although, it would take months of begging and panhandling (like I used to do) to afford a pair of Iron Hearts. Haha I still like a lot of the music. But I am also a part of the system I used to hate so much.
