IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
…the Eagle has landed! A long circuitous route but finally made my way to the 'Devils Cut'.
…let the games begin! Congrats @Kingsselvedge1! You're in!
-
Those look great, @vaquero357 - What tag size are they?
-
…35 but actual of 36.8.
...I was worried about the narrow thigh measurement (12.9 and I need a minimum of 13) but because the knee measurement is a little larger it opens up the thigh and it feels great!
...this 'top block' though is a hip hugger, wow.
-
@vaquero357 wear em for about a month and the top block will feel a helluva lot better. There were a couple moments for me where I worried quite a bit that I'd maybe gone too small, but one day they just magically gave in, and I've been really happy ever since.
Great fit! You'll dig em.

Pilgrimage complete. Now time to break these bad boys in…

I’m a bit jealous that you fit in the 666 cut
If it makes you feel better I am on the cusp. I tried the 777 and… the visual image was a marrow trying to fit in to a sock. It took 4 of the IH team to get them back off. Lol

XHS is a must, and very different from the 21oz. I would disagree with popvulture—nothing softer than a really old well-worn pair of XHS. Like denim sweatpants.

I still haven't punished the hell outta my XHS yet (still workin' on that), so our opinions may dovetail in the future
For sure. It's a fade off

Congratulations @Kingsselvedge1 Welcome to the 666 XHS family.
Thanks dude. Came for the xhs…stayed for the chat

Thanks. It's def XHS day. Those look amazing but more than the jeans…I need to up my living room game. Those chairs look like the perfect way to relax after a day of squats to try and soften the XHS.
-
…@popvulture I'll live in these until the weekend and soak/hang dry on Saturday! Then we'll let 'er rip!
-
@vaquero357 they’re sanfordized so no need to soak. Wear em till they stink then wash. Congrats to you on the score as well!

Congrats @vaquero357 they look great on you. Once they get broken in you won’t want to take them off.

I haven’t posted a pic of my 666-XHS in forever, mainly because of their glacial progress, but here’s a long overdue update:
-
@xtcclassic That looks epic my friend! I'm noticing a lot of vertical fades as well on my XHS. I feel like, I do not want summer at all.
-
Some fades starting to pop up. In a few days, these will go into hibernation.

I am a newbie to IH jeans. I have a dilemma. I tried Size 36 on the IH-666-XHS. It fits me perfectly. But I can't sit down for long! It's too tight around my waist and hips. Size 38 is comfortable in the top half, but loose everywhere else. Size 37 does not exist. The denim will shrink a bit after the first wash, but Size 38 will require me to wear a belt all the time. So, is there an IH cut that might be better for me? I have skimmed through some of these discussion forums, but you folks have a lot of experience, and might be able to point me in the right direction quickly. Thanks!

First off, welcome!
A couple of thoughts: you can always email IHUK and ask if they have a 36 in stock that runs a little bigger than the tag size (or less, whatever you're looking for) — I've done this many times. The customer service is some of the best out there, so don't be afraid to drop em a line!
Secondly, the way they fit new is about what they'll fit like after you've washed them, worn em a bit, and stretched em back out. After a hot soak you'll probably lose about 1/2" in the waist (others on here will go for a hot machine wash, which might get you a bit more shrink — I just stick to soaking). And this is the thing… they'll be uncomfortable for a bit, and that's just part of the deal. XHS aren't really for the faint of heart, but it's worth putting in the work, because they end up getting much more comfortable and have such incredible fades. My 666XHS have even stretched out a little more than pre-soak size, so there's that silver lining as well. I'm personally more a fan of having jeans that are a bit rough-wearing at first and stretch to a comfortable place, vs getting some that are comfortable from the get-go, stretch too much, and end up looking dumpy.
TL;DR — I'd go for the smaller option. Let's see what everybody else has to say, though!
