IH-526J-142ib - 14oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo/Black

I was looking at the size chart on the website for XXL. Am I wrong or are the sleeves on this jacket extremely long compared to other IH type 3’s?

Updated sizing chart can be found here
Hi Bailey - I noticed the sizing chart on the first post of this thread is different than the one on the product page. Do you know which one I should follow?
-
@AdamJ thank you, I appreciate the super fast response.

After carefully considering my correct size, I decided to go one size up from my UHF. I was able find one with Kentaurus and try it in store. I'm delighted with this jacket, it's exactly what I was looking for.

Ok, I think I’m going to go for this one. I’m between a L and an XL and am not sure if I should size up to the XL so I can layer. I’m 5’10, 180lbs, and a 42.5 inch chest. I don’t want the jacket to be too tight, but I also don’t want to be swimming in it. Are there any owners of this model with similar measurements that can offer suggestions? Would really appreciate if so.

I'm about that same size and went XL, but trust the measurements. I'd suspect a large might be snug around the torso.
Usually an XL in western cuts and L in work shirts, thermals, tees, and hoodie.fit from another thread;

@Nostradamion Please email the guys at the shop: shop@ironheart.co.uk
Think about where you live, how you’re going to wear it (layered over UHF’s or T-shirts), how often you’re going to wear it (Spring/Fall, 3 Season, year round), is this the only jacket you’re going to wear, how do you like to wear your clothing (loose, comfortable, of fitted)…
These are questions that only you can answer, but the information will help the guys in the shop help you.

Take a jacket and measure it the way Iron heart does and compare those measurements to the chart for this jacket. It will give you a great starting point to talk about sizing with the guys.

I actually used the chat function earlier so I assume it gets forwarded to them given the time difference (I’m in the US).

@Nostradamion Great move and they’ll get back to you when they’re back in tomorrow morning.
For me, waking up to an IH email is always good (and bad). Bad in that that’s another pay cheque gone

This will be my first Iron Heart if all goes well. Just hope they still have them in the morning!!

@Nostradamion If you are 100% sure that this is the exact jacket you want…you can buy the XL (1 in stock) which will take it out of inventory. Tomorrow you can talk to the guys to ensure you’ve picked the right size or exchange it for one of the larges (5 in stock).
If you have your measurements, you can also say largest large chest, shoulders, longest arm, or whatever your limiting measurement may be.
Hope it helps!

@goosehd
Everything on the XL is spot on with the exception of the chest. My current best fitting jacket is a 44.5 inch chest whereas the Iron Heart XL is 45.6. All the other measurements are spot on though. Wondering if that extra inch is going to make it look too big. -
@Nostradamion The guys should be able to answer that question and I would hold off until you speak to them.
Just my honest opinion…

@goosehd
Ok, I’ll do that. If it’s meant to be, it will still be there waiting.
