American Football (NFL)

I’m going to do my best to remain positive and hopeful.
I like going to games at the Bank. It’s expensive so I never made a habit of it. I prefer settling into the couch with affordable high quality beer and announcers/replays. I also like not standing in line to pee. But a live game once in a while is nice. I went on New Years one year. That was pretty dope.
I’m watching pre game now trying to not let injury news ruin it for me.

I was watching the game, and by half time I had come down with some sort of food poisoning. I also checked the score around midnight, and was also surprised, just not pleasantly.
Oh bummer man I hope you are feeling better today. I have a weak stomach so I can relate.
Refresh my memory who you root for? I think we had a bit of banter here before but I'm not sure.
-
These days the NY teams pretty much suck,so in essence I root for good football, and the Chiefs usually provide that. Prior to my not feeling well,it was a really good contententious game with the Ravens taking everything they threw at them and giving it right back to them, and obviously prevailing in the end. I intend to go online ,later, and watch all the highlights. Feeling like a soggy Rice Krispie today…No Snap ,Crackle or Pop!
-
I was also feeling a bit nauseous at half time, in fact I was close to throwing up right up until the last minute forced fumble. My man LJ was no fucking joke last night.
I usually walk away from games like that but thankfully I toughed it out.
Genuinely sorry about your food postponing though. That’s the worst. Stay hydrated.

@Matt After sticking it out last MNF against the Raiders, staying up till nearly midnight and having to wake up to teach bright and early…and considering I thought the Ravens stood no chance against KC...I went to bed! And regretted it! A lot! haha...
Hope both you fellas feel better. I was feeling like what y'all have been describing early last week.

I was just referring to how tough the game was to watch. I wasn’t really sick.
I do enjoy watching football on MNT as opposed to EST. Especially since I use the NFL Game Pass which airs the games after they’re over. It’s great for my 1pm games. I can watch them at about 2 pm my time. Night games I can catch on Peacock or Amazon. I did a free trial of FUBO TV for the Monday Night game. Anything to avoid cable.

Lmao I read that literally and now I see what you meant.
Does Peacock play live games? I have it on my PS4 but haven't tried it yet.

I think the Jets may be starting to realise that QB wasn’t their problem position that needed fixing…
-
I will never understand why year after year teams play poorly, get an early 1st round pick and use it on a new QB instead of trading it for multiple picks they could use to strengthen their foundational positions. The winning teams do just fine picking late and even trading away what 1st round picks they do have.
Actually I do understand. If your team has a shitty GM you may as well just give up before the season starts. And those college kids always look so happy on draft day. Deion Sanders should just say “Congratulations kid, you’re rich. You’ll never win another game but you can buy your mom a house.”
