SEXIHXINDO16 Unsanforized 19oz Indigo Selvedge Denim

These will be my next pair of jeans

After a fair bit of agonising, just snapped up the last pair of 33's.
Missed out on the SEXIH07's a while back, so didn't want to miss these too.
Considering how similar the fit is, I can't understand why the Indo model hasn't received as much lovin'.
Anyway, I can't wait until my package turns up in a few days….

I'm curious to see how you feel about them once you get to wear them- not a lot of firsthand commentary.

I actually bought these back in January because I saw them on the self edge store back in october and i was hooked for some reason by the red pockets and stitching haha. Simon626 helped me with the soaking part so shoutout to him for that.
I really am no 'jean expert' but i researched and talked to a whole bunch of people on whether to size up or stay true to fit, but i sized up and to be honest they are a bit baggy esp. in the butt area but i love them none the less. Maybe its just cause i'm a skinny guy? Haha. I really love the fast fading properties that everyone has been talking about so much on this forum, especially when its well known that iron hearts don't really fade much at all.
Ill post pics sooner or later, but i think mine are turning out fantastically. So if planning to buy, going true to fit should be fine. Love these jeans.

Baggy in the butt?
I have a pair that I bought back in October when they were released. I tried them on, took measurements, soaked them, repeated steps 1 & 2, then stuck them on a shelf. The one thing I remember is that they have a crazy low back rise. I'm surprised they're baggy on anyone. Good to hear your impressions on them. Now, how about those pictures?
-
Why would you assume that? This is the same 19oz denim used in the SEXIH07, so that pair is a much better guideline than the 21/23oz stuff. Of course, I have no idea how that denim stretches, since I don't own a pair and I'm too lazy to dig through the SEXIH07 thread…
-
haha sorry kit99bar i didnt know that! I was just surprised because these are my first pair and i didn't expect them to fade so quickly.
But yes these fade wonderfully, especially in the areas where there is a high amount of friction on the side of my knee caps near my honeycombs.I wore these out to disneyland last weekend and after splash mountain got my thighs wet at the end of the ride. That area of my sexindos got crrazy stiff i felt like i could get shot in the leg and have the bullet bounce right bacck.

Yep, no probs I'll post something when I get them. I'm hoping SE's sizing chart is reasonably accurate. With any luck the 34.5 inch waist will shrink to 33.5 or maybe even 30 in hot water, which will be tight at first but should stretch out pretty fast. If the waist is any larger than 35 pre-soak, I may struggle to get them down enough.
Unsanforized jeans always make me nervous about sizing, but when it's right, they're just so damn good!
More when they arrive….

Daang rocknroll 30?? that's massive shrinkage. I was actually thinking about soaking my jeans in hot water once more just to see how much it'll shrink. I love the fit after my initial hot soak but a eensy bit smaller and fitted couldn't hurt could it?
-
never ever to 30. must be a typo or wrong measurements

D'oh. It was late at night when I wrote that. I meant 33, not 30!!
-
Should be possible- mine shrank 1.5 inches in the waist. My size 33 measured 35.5 pre-soak, though. If yours are the same, it may be tough to get them down to 33".
-
Damn. If they're the same as yours pre-soak (35.5) they aint gonna work.
I've had trouble with SE sizing charts before…a pity they don't put the same effort into providing measurements as they do into sourcing quality clothes.
Should be here any day now, so we shall see.
BTW Chris, how much did yours stretch out again after some wear?
