IH-555-SST - 21oz Shinayaka Selvedge Denim - Super Slim - Indigo
-
Well, this is my first 555 cut and I found my pair really super-slim, but in the right way. Love it!
I went whit w29, like I did with IH-634s and IH-888s: I think they fit very well
About stretch, I really can feel it.
You can clearly feel the stretch by "pinching" them!
I'll post some pics after a few days of wear. -
… And this is it.
First of all, this is my first "super slim" pair and I have to say that yes, they are slim.
But let's lose this aspect, because the point of interest of this model is denim, The New 21oz + 2% Polyurethane Formula.
After a few days of worn I can confirm the stretch component is present and palpable, more than any other pair of stretch jeans I've ever worn, including Levi's 502. Apparently, the more fabric is heavy, the more stretch component is noticeable.
Good or bad? It's funny, for now.
Only time will tell us if this Shinayaka will become more or less soft and comfortable than the classic Iron Heart's 21oz... -
Haraki mentioned that they are going to be back in two colours - indigo and black. I hope it’s not only for Japan.

great news, always wanted a 555-sst
-
@Daniel-San Same here! Ever since I came across @neph93 summary of the fabric and the cut.
-
The reason I got into selvedge denim and consequently Iron Heart was my search for denim without elasthane or other synthetics. But if people want to buy and wear them, who cares? No clue why anyone would get so worked up about 2% synthetic that they would take their money someplace else
-
ridiculous
2% how cares ? And if you don’t like it , don’t buy it. Enough denim at Iron Heart without. -
@Giles said in IH-555-SST - 21oz Shinayaka Selvedge Denim - Super Slim - Indigo:
We got some major shit from Luddites when we released.......I think we even lost some customers as a result.......One major customer who bitched at me personally, has never bought again.....Jeez....
This is really a WTF situation. Radicalism/ extremism has not ended well no matter what is the subject matter.
As it was said here so many times - don’t buy if you don’t like it, there is so much of traditional offering from IH, why even split hairs?
Good that You guys don’t give a shit and keep on doing things the IH way!
