Bunny Rugs is best known for being the lead singer of Reggae supergroup Third World. What is less well known about him (and its a shame I think) is that he started his career singing for Lee Perry.
Here is a heavy cover of "Be thankful" from 1973. It was included in a CD of Bunny's tracks recorded with Lee Perry that I released about 10 years ago on my TABOU1 label. RAW!!! It did not sell much but I was proud to have done it because I love Lee Perry and I ADORE Rugs.

Oh hell ya! This is an amazing song and I've never heard this laid back, dubbed out version before. You should be proud. The fact that you released it is awesome. Jah is truly mighty.
