My gf pretty much hates everything I listen too. That still doesn't stop me from playing the new Disma record for her in her car on a nice dreary Saturday morning. I told her it was the best death metal record in years. She was unimpressed.

Is Daryl still in disma?

Such a weird video, but somehow I find it quite uplifting…
Very interesting discussion btw, like Barun it's hard for me to grasp why people enjoy this kind of "aggressive" music. No hate, I really appreciateted the insight!
Personally I've been listenening to a lot of Hip-Hop lately because I found a lot of nice underground stuff that made me believe in it again. But like many around here I listen to all kinds of genres, as long as it somehow touches me emotionally. Sometimes I can listen to music purely on a technical level too, appreciating bass lines, drum fills and such... But mostly it just boils down to a gut feeling, a simple reaction like "I'm feeling this!". Or not.

i couldn't tell you. i've never seen them. they're playing MDF next year, so hopefully then I'll get my chance.

awesome. have you heard his previous bands? he was in funebrarum, taste of fear, and of course citizens arrest. daryl is a person who i will always listen when he starts a new project.

How did I not think about this tune before?????
INDIGO BLUE by the great GILBERTO GIL, on his fantastic 1984 "Raca Humana" album (which features Bob Marley's Wailers on the superb "Vamos Fugir" track)

Cant resist
here is Vamos Fugir, by Gilberto Gil and the mighty mighty Wailers

I've heard of Taste of fear but haven't actually listened to them… Do they sound like State of fear or is that just my mind linking items for no reason?..
taste of fear was a bit more on the american crust/grind side of the spectrum
