im really on the fence with IH-888S-SBG vs IH-888S-SB. The SB have stock but the SBG are sold out. I think I just read above about potential early September stock release? Being August I have zero issues waiting for the SBG.

I love anything faded and leaning towards waiting for the SBG pair but do the super blacks really not show any wear over time? Curious what people think that own both or had both before?

@goosehd ok this is perfect because I can do all of this now. And agree I have purchased several pairs that I bought to fit just right from day one that end up getting stretched out over time and retired to my 'winter collection'

ok this is great advice. But based on the pictures provided you think these are a good starting fit before soak/wash? If I want to minimize shrinkage I can soak in cold water/Luke warm?

@goosehd thank you. So once I soak and they stretch back to what they are now will they stretch even further beyond their original size? I guess I am just hoping I will get .5 or slightly more relaxed in the waist. I am old and sometimes in the winter months (I am Canadian) I can drink a few more adult beverages and put on some insulation

is there any strategy to wear them first to get some initial stretch before doing the soak? They feel snug as a bug already so nervous the soak will really make the breaking in period even less enjoyable...?

hahaha totally it was a good call the higher they go up the better they feel actually. They are not fighting with my boney hips

This would be the highest I could pull them up before things get more 'tight' in other areas

Newer to the form but not to IH products. I am coming from a pair of 777 in 21 oz although I do love them the low rise wasn't my favourite. They were size W33.

I decided to pick up a new pair of 25 oz 888 and they just arrived. Wow I forgot the break in period for a new pair. That part is totally fine and I do enjoy the journey. I know the waist will stretch some but wanted to get everyones input if possible on the fit.

The waist is tight but I would not say uncomfortable. I can get the buttons on but it took a bit of work. Which might have more to do with the 25 oz?

Curious everyones thoughts as the waist right now is snug but not terrible. I am 6'2 185lbs +/-

@Heavy_blue Perfect that's the approach I was leaning towards. Gives me flexibility when I fluctuate on my weight depending on the season Looks like if I soak, it will drop up to 1" and then I will gain it back in the stretch by wearing them.

Newish to the forum but not new to IH. I am currently rocking the 777's in a size 33 cuffed. I do love the slimmer cut but not fully in love with the lower rise of the 777's and skinner thighs. Walking in them is fine and I have owned them for about a year. Moving my legs higher to step over anything is a bit awkward. Having said all of that I do like the way the weight fits me even when it's a lower rise. Looking at the IH measurements for 888 they are a higher rise and a larger thigh. Sounds like my next pair. Would it be safe to say that due to them sitting higher and not on the hip a size 32 would be the way to go? I am an athletic build so fairly flat stomach although that changes with the season

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If a fit pic of my 777's would help please let me know and I can take one. Thanks in advance for any help given.
