RE: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)
This is the best first post I could think to make for this thread. I’m having myself a great day! Picked up my first two pairs today. The guys at the Osaka store are incredibly nice, and so helpful.

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2024 EDITION
Long time listener. First time caller. First wear of one of my Japan pick ups.
21oz 9634z - they aren’t kidding when they call this “black armor”. Forgive the work from home slippers. lol.

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2024 EDITION
Still warm t-shirt weather in NC, despite what the foliage says. Loving these 634s even more every day.

RE: Tattoos
Currently two sessions in with Steve Zimonvan (Remember Me Tattoo) on my back. So stoked with how it’s looking.

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2024 EDITION
Figured this 1994 unissued Romanian fleck field shirt would pair well with the 9634. Unfortunately, it’s almost too warm here to wear it today.

RE: Photograph and Camera talk
Yesterday we went to a temple, in Kyoto, that was built in 731 with a beautiful moss garden. One of the highlights of the trip so far, and so incredibly peaceful. They limit the number of guests per day, and are only open for 2 hours to ensure its condition.

RE: Photograph and Camera talk
First stop of the Japan trip was to this spot I’ve been dying to shoot. Shot with multiple cameras, just to make sure. Analog shot with Leica M5 and Cinestill 800t will have to wait until I process and scan, so here’s the one from my X100s.

RE: Photograph and Camera talk
@weftyarn I’ll definitely keep trying to post. I’ll fully post when I get back and get my film scanned. Here’s a couple from Kyoto and Mt. Fuji from the Shinkansen ride from Tokyo to Kyoto.

RE: Introduce Yourself Here
Hey gang. I realized I’ve been on this board for a good few months so far, and have not introduced myself. I got introduced to IH through my friends at Guilty Party, in Atlanta, on a work trip. (Sick name drop, I know). I haven’t made my first purchase yet, because I’m making my first trip to Japan and will be hitting at least the Osaka store, and maybe outside of Tokyo with time permitting.
I’ve been doing tons of research to find what will be the best cut for me, and will be heading home to Atlanta this weekend to hopefully trying a few different cuts at GP. I know the cuts/sizes will be a bit different from those in Japan, but hoping I can get an idea of what will fit my frame (5’8 and +/-155lbs). If there are any threads I should check out to help in my studies, please let me know.
As far as denim goes I’ve had: 14.5 oz Raleigh Denim from Cone Mills (from right here in Greensboro, NC) that lasted the better part of a decade, Wingman 14oz indigo, Levi 501 STF and a few others. But stoked to step to some heavy hitters soon. Really hoping to use this upcoming Japan trip to my advantage for Japanese denim, and hit all the shops I can.
Beyond denim, I’m a photographer (used to do it professionally, now it’s back to being my favorite thing), love lifting, getting tattooed, and traveling with my wife.
Aight. See y’all in the threads.

RE: Photograph and Camera talk
Totally forgot how long it would take to scan everything from Japan. Got the negatives Tuesday and have been working on with any spare time I have. Can’t wait to convert them, and so stoked on even how the negatives look. As soon as these suckers are ready, I’ll be sharing.

RE: Anyone here play video games?
@Seul that is the thing that always gets me. The level of detail of this game, visually and storytelling, is insane.

RE: Anyone here play video games?
lol that’s enough for me to know I need to stay away. I’m probably due another play through.

RE: Anyone here play video games?
@SKT @Seul RDR2 is the all time best. It is the basis to which I measure all gamin experiences. I never got into online, but the hours I have out into multiple play-throughs have been so good.

@Tago-Mago one of my favorites. I have growing collection of BT shirts/hoodies.

RE: Anyone here play video games?
@EdH I have definitely found myself doing the same. With open world games I have a hard time progressing until I have no possible stones left unturned. The exploration is some of my favorite parts. I did the same with BotW and TotK.

RE: Anyone here play video games?
@EdH I can definitely see that happening. I almost immediately regretted some of my character design questions. But, the story is great. I’m stick in Act 2. My wife is in Act 3. Neither one of us have been able to pick it back up since our vacation. I may just have to put in some time this weekend since there is no F1, and I’m primed to ignore yard work.
