Much appreciated, fellas. Thank you! I'm now even more stoked on this denim.

RE: IH-634S-SBG - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - SBG
A bit of a n00b question here, so please bear with me...
I'm on my first part of 21oz SBGs. Specifically, a pair of 633 from Self Edge. I'm stoked on the weight and the unique feel. They've quickly become my favorite new pair.
To the point; dye transfer and specifically, crocking. Is SBG denim subject to color transfer like the indigo denim? On a pair of light-colored leather boots, should I expect some crocking with my 633s?

RE: Iron Heart Cuts Overview
@sabergirl Oh, nice! Self Edge is in my town, though I've not yet been to that location. I'll give that cut a look. Thank you!

@Bobcat-Sig Have you looked at the 666 cut? Smaller hem opening versus the 634. Gotta watch the thigh measurement with the 666 though.
The cut number alone has my attention. I do remember looking at it, though I likely wasn't sure and kept wading through the cuts and their measurements. I'll give it another look. Thank you,

@Bobcat-Sig Please email the Iron Heart Crew at shop@ironheart.co.uk and they will steer you in the right direction. The guys that work there are the best guide to help you along your journey.
Will do. Thank you!

RE: Iron Heart Cuts Overview
I'm glad I found this thread. I've been lurking for a good while, trying to determine which cut should be my first pair of Iron Heart denim. I've been looking at each cut and have been left a little bewildered though undeterred.
I'm hoping the faithful and knowledgeable denim heads here can recommend my next pair. it would join three IH shirts.
First, I'll start with what I like with fits and then measurements important to me. In the eight or so pairs of raw denim I've gathered over the last few years, I find that a full top block suits my athletic mid-section. (and my backside, to which my wife constantly reminds me of how much she likes it). I take this to mean that mid to full rise suits me better because there's enough fabric up top and out back to cover the ol' pamplemousse. So I've interpreted this to mean that nearly all slim and skinny cuts won't work.
Measurements for me tend to come in well around 11-ish inches front rise and a 15-ish back rise. The waist is usually 33 to 34.5, depending on the denim. This usually puts in tags 31 and 32 for many brands and probably a 33 tag for most Iron Heart cuts.
I'm mostly a boot guy when it comes to selvage denim and I've come to like an ~8-ish inch opening. A little less if I'm wearing cowboy boots and a little more if the boots are chunkier. And I've found a knee of about 8 to 9 inches to be a sweet spot; 8 if it's a cowboy cut and 9 inches for a proper straight cut.
The 634 looks like it could be a contender, but it sports a bigger knee and hem of 9.5 and 9.2, respectively. That seems a little big to me. The 777 looks to slim things up just enough in the knee and opening. Is that my jam? Then there's the 888...
Am I thinking about all this correctly? Or, more likely, am I overthinking it?
And lastly, I intend on either the 25 oz or 21/23 oz because full send!

As I search for my next pair (and my first Iron Heart), I come and see the fades from @Oaktavia and that's about all anyone needs on whether to buy or not. Impressive!

RE: IHSH-218-BLK - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt "The Johnny Cash III" - Superblack
@Denimhead-0 That looks really good! FIt looks great, too. I'm always on the fence between L and XL. Which size did you go with?

@JoshC Terrific, thank you. Self Edge has a storefront nearby, so that may be go-to. I appreciate the reply.

I waffled, Waited and now L and XL out of of stock. Gahh!!
Perhaps I missed it; are there stockists carrying this shirt? Maybe I can try there?

I never did post here upon joining over a year ago. Forgive me.
I hail from the great PNWet. Specifically, the Portland metro area. And if you want to be specific about it, Vancouver, WA.
Thanks for the intro and the deets om Vancouver. Learn something new every day around here.
I'm glad I could add to your knowledge.
I know the place well. I've been many times. I rather enjoy their bourbon cocktails. I would bet that we know some of the same people from my time living in Montana.

You might then ask; "But why would you say Portland when you really live in Vancouver?" Because, sadly, when I say this, most people think of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada - not Vancouver, WA. Besides, Portland is far more recognizable. Fun fact; Vancouver, WA was established prior to Vancouver, BC.

RE: There's no Such Thing as a Stupid Question
I did a "register of pre-interest" once. "We are making this, sign up here if you want to buy one and let us know what size", we got well over a 100 sign-ups and only about 20 sold when we released them.
It made me realize that doing stuff like that was pointless without any financial commitment and that about 80% of the population are as flakey as fuck….
I'm totally guilty of this. In fact, I just upped for three different pieces of denim as the style and color I'm after were out of stock. So I added emails to several with the idea that I'll buy the first style that becomes available. If I'm to finally procure my first pair of IH denim, better do it right, yah?

RE: IHB-11-NAT - Heavy Duty "Tochigi" Leather Belt with Brass Garrison Buckle - Nat
Matter not, any of them will go through the leather multiple times. Our sets cost about USD10 per pop…..
If you’re in the USA Tandy makes a decent kit. Just make sure you use a ruler and take your time to make sure it’s centered.

Much appreciated, both of you. Thank you.

RE: IHB-11-NAT - Heavy Duty "Tochigi" Leather Belt with Brass Garrison Buckle - Nat
Which is why we put a link to that vid in the product description…...
I have only had (needed) one IH belt in the last 15 or so years, but I sized mine so that it fitted perfectly when on the middle hole. I suspect I have subsequently used all the other holes as my weight has deviated/had large lunches/been on a pub crawls/worn jeans with different rises etc etc......
I have a friend who has been shedding weight over the last 4 years or so, every so often, we lop another inch off his belt....
Love it. Thank you. I completely missed the how-to video link.
The next question becomes; what size(s) hole punch do I need? After all, I always welcome another excuse to buy more tools.
ETA: after a brief interwebbing session, I see kits are more the norm. So the better question is; which brand of punches are reccomended?

RE: IHB-11-NAT - Heavy Duty "Tochigi" Leather Belt with Brass Garrison Buckle - Nat
What’s the size guidance with these belts? I ask because I’m right smack dab in the middle of the M and L, measuring out with my favorite belts to 34 inches. So do I go with a medium and wear it on the 5th (last hole) or the L and wear it on the 1st hole? I would think M knowing that the leather will stretch a bit, but I'd worry that wearing a belt on the last or second to last hole is going to look odd.
For those of you between sizes; which way did you go and why?

RE: IHM-27-BLK - Sateen M-65 Field Jacket - Black
Oh, man! That's great news. Selfishly, I was hoping for a shorter timetable, but for quality this good? I can wait.
Thanks for passing along the good word.

RE: IHM-27-BLK - Sateen M-65 Field Jacket - Black
I've been after a proper, well-built field jacket for a few years. This one or the olive colorway seems to fit the bill nicely. Though it looks like I missed this year's run. Any chance of a restock in the near future?
