Been wearing this Tom Western a lot recently. Love the character that’s developing throughout the shacket. It definitely still has some sheen and squeakiness to it.

Great to see the activity in here. I purchased the Tom Western SK-13 in April. I’ve been trying to wear it as often as I could in this sporadic Southern California weather. I don’t need anything super heavy duty, so this “shacket” is perfect for me.

Due to these running smaller, I took a gamble on the size when I purchased it. Fortunately, I fell in love with the fit immediately once I received it. The sleeves are just a tiny bit longer than what I’d prefer, but all the other measurements work well for me. I’m currently eyeing the Kakishibu Type 1, so hopefully I’ll be able to add another Y’2 piece.

I wore it earlier this week on a family trip to Legoland, and it was awesome!

These have been worn for one year straight with just the initial soak; no washes. Typically at this point, I’d just give them a soak with a mild hand wash. I decided to try something new and threw them in the washer on no spin cold wash, after an hour-long soak.

The lighting isn’t ideal, so I’ll try to take some more pictures in natural lighting. I’ll be sending these off to IH for some repairs. In the meantime, I’ll be switching gears to the 888-SBG

While washing my 888 XHSib, I decided to also throw these in the washer. These have only been soaked once and washed once. Both pairs will be going to IH for some much needed repairs, then put into storage while I break in my 888 SBG.

I was able to soak my jeans over the weekend. I soaked it in cold water to minimize shrinkage. There was some shrinkage all around. Once dried, they were a bit tight and stiff. After about 5-10 minutes of wear, they were comfortable once again.

Approaching one year since I got these jeans. I’ve worn them for the majority of time since I received them. No washes, no soaks. There’s some nice fades coming in. No signs of crotch blowout yet. There’s a hole on my left knee from constantly being on the ground and playing with my son. It’s about the size of a US half dollar. I’ll need to get that patched sooner than later.

I’ll be giving them their first soak at the one-year mark. Excited to see if there will be any changes.

Just wanted to post an update on my 526J-SLBod. I gave it a soak yesterday after putting it through some heavy wear. Interestingly enough, the fades toned down after the soak, and aren’t as contrasting. It’s a completely different effect compared to my 888S-21ib. Could that be an effect of the OD? I’m really enjoying the different effects of different denims.

I received my 888-XHSib yesterday. Put them in a hot soak immediately for about two hours. Dried them overnight. And now they’re good to go. I know there are countless comments about the buttons. I thought it was just a bit of an over exaggeration, but these buttons are stiff! My thumbs are a bit banged up, but these are definitely gonna be fun to break in though. I had no idea these have been out of stock. I lucked out and was able to snag a pair in my size via Reloved! I have the 888S-21ib and 888-XHSib, so these will add some diversity to the small collection. I’m looking forward to putting some fades after seeing all the faded SBG.

Also, wanted to add that the Iron Heart team is amazing. I placed the order on February 7th. They contacted me to verify my size/hem, hemmed the jeans, shipped, and delivered in California on February 12th! That’s ridiculously impressive!

Another quick update on these. I’ve been continuing to wear them pretty much every day. I play with my toddler quite often so the knees are showing the most wear.

Thanks @sophisto000! These boots are a collaboration between Viberg and Lost & Found. It’s the Side Zip Boot in Nero Washed Kangaroo on their 2030CH last. With two young kids, I needed a nice zip boot for ease on putting on and taking off quickly. These checked all the right boxes for me. The washed kangaroo is super soft and gets better with age.

Looks like the creases are set with some very minor fading.

Been wearing these pretty much every day since I got them. The waist has stretched out to a comfortable size and the denim has only gotten softer since the first wear. I was very surprised with how quickly these are fading. I’m seeing some electric blues pop up in some high-wear areas. These are gonna be fun to fade.

@caithangkhanh those look awesome dude! I'll be a lucky SOB if i can make it a couple months without washing. They look clean as can be too. Killer fades, cant wait to see them after a soak. I'm sure they could fix that knee hole right up. Looks cool with the black weft tho!

Thank you! I was very tempted to soak/wash them a few times. I’m a big fan of high contrast fades though, so I decided to hold off as long as I could. I typically soak/rinse my jeans after one solid year of wear.
