Very happy with these after their first wash.
Never soaked, rotated about two years.

Just found this pair in the back of my closet. I must have given up, but I feel ready to take on the task.
How long does it take for the denim to soften up, I think 21oz could be too much for me. I have done 18oz several times, but the difference feels enormous.
I got a pair of 555-142 that I washed the other day for the first time after three years of rotation. They turned out really nice. The thought of bringing these that far is making me exhausted. But judging from the looks in this thread it also looks worthwhile

These are the stiffest pair I’ve had. I feel the size is right, but it’s just hard work to break them in. They’re snug behind the knee, like they snap at me, and I feel the top button without the feeling that they’re tight to my b***. I haven’t soaked them. Will that make a big instans difference?

Has anyone washed this jacket?
I hesitate to wash mine as I feel all the indigo will go … which is probably not the case.
I’d like to see a picture of a used jacket if possible.

I’m often in between sizes … so I’m curious to know if you think Giles could wear a shirt under a large, if it’s a tight og roomy large for him.

Giles, I read that you wear an L in this, but would you consider it a snug fit? Can you wear and UHF under this and close it?

Will there be new N1 deck jacket (navy) to spend money on this year?

I'm looking to buy a pair of Flat Head 3002.
What are your experiences with shrinkage from those. Could it really be 1,5 inches in the waist and 3 in the length?
How much do you reckon the waist will stretch back out?

I've bought a few. Good stuff.
I use L or XL in Iron Heart. In this M fits quite big.
One time I got into some order trouble. I ordered three shirts, there was only two in the box, but the invoice claimed they shipped three.
Got the money back eventually.

Damned, that's a cool shirt with the stripes. It's hard for me to see what kind of shirt it is. Can you explain. It sure looks lihe a must-have. Is it chambray or flannel? How heavy?

Giles, what size do you wear in these?

Giles, I'm not able to see a whole lotta difference between these and the 555, fit wise and in the denim. Could you explain?
