These are my new Busters then, have been wearing them since they dried yesterday. I could maybe do with the 33s but, i'm enjoying the comfort of the 34s TBH, but will see how they go while i decide on my next busters i reckon.

RE: IHXB01 - Beatle Buster 21oz Japanese Selvage Denim Indigo
Seems to me the 36 raw would be about right though, if you measure 37.5 , these would stretch out to 37", that should be about perfect waitsband wise (i generally try to get the waistband to end up slightly less than my actual waist measurement, or they'll need cinching in loads with a belt not to fall down-or maybe that's just me), plus they'd have the fit in the leg you want then. Or not, i don't know. What i would say is that it's quite a forgiving cut, doesn't have any problem areas (flared out bits) , keeps a tidy sillouette still if you do wear them slightly oversized.

I see, so the sanforized is pretty comfy stuff then? (relatively speaking of course) My breathabilty test involves falling asleep in my jeans, like a slob, then noting how sweaty my legs are when i wake up. it's all highly scientific.lol.

Man these busters are so nice, the cloth is amazing, the nicest i've seen/felt. It's somehow very supple and comfortable and breathable for a heavy denim, yet the surface texture is just right, still has the dimply, papery feeling under the hand, it's super luxury stuff. They're just that next level above for me. and the cut is just awesome.
I'll see about contributing some photos, no one else around at the mo to take pics, stuck in waiting for UPS man..

RE: IHxB01xRAW Beatle Buster 18oz Raw Japanese Selvage Denim Indigo
Ok, will see what i can do. I'm wearing them like half a size relaxed, i would say. Basically i measure 35" in the waist and these are a size 34, and i reckon i could get into the 33s, ( though would involve some post soak wrestling and effort climbing stairs etc for a week or two), whereas these 34s button straight up and are fitted and snug everywhere but comfortable right after soaking. Affter stretching i reckon they'll looked slightly relaxed (which suits me and my lanky limbs better) as opposed to really hugging in the thighs (which is more TTS fit for the Busters). Jeez, hope that made some sense

RE: IHxB01xRAW Beatle Buster 18oz Raw Japanese Selvage Denim Indigo
Received my Beatle Buster raws today, first IHs for me. Coming from a pair of Samurai 710xx, which on paper are incredibly similar, and layed next to my old 710s, the BBs post soak, they're spookily similar in all dimensions. I fit straight into them put it that way. Where they differ mostly is in the subtlety of the cut and that's where the IH's win it hands down for me, i much prefer them already and i love those Samurais. Basically, the taper in the upper leg is more natural and less abrupt in the BBs. The cut feels, and looks more natural, on me anyway, could feel it straight away when i put them on, it's just a nicer cut IMO…
Of course the material, build and detailing on these is gorgeous (you know that though ) I'm liking the smooth tops on the rivets, which i hope will be more guitar friendly than the 710XX, the coin pocket rivets on those are a nightmare for eating the backs of guitars. Sounds trivial but is actually a very welcome detail to me.

RE: Samurai Jeans
Yeah, i've found Samurai have great demins but only the 710xx really has the rise and the taper i'm looking for. I'm 6'2", maybe why i seem to need the higher rise. Some of their 'mid-rise' seems quite low to me, on paper anyway. The Busters should be right up my street, like you say. Also, in a moment of weakness i went back to the IH store and ordered a pair of IH-702 grey chinos, couldn't help myself, have been looking for some troosers for a while that aren't jeans that i can get on with and these look great so..
Will report my findings on my new IH clobber!
