neph93, sabergirl, Graham - Many thanks for advice and help it’s much appreciated. Looks like the 1955 is the only cut with a similar rise, so it’s either risk those or stick with 888, I’m leaning towards ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’. The 14oz sound interesting but I’ve never handled it, I’m guessing it behaves the same as the 21 just lighter in weight?

RE: IH-888S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo
Looking for opinions on the fit of these 888S and any suggestions for my next pair? Stick with the 888s or is there anything that might fit even better? Only thing, I do prefer a higher rise. Cheers

neph93 - Thanks for the help, I’ll give them a wash first and see if they tighten up before I do anything drastic.

RE: IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Just trying to understand this alteration. The excess material, that needs reducing, seems to run from the waistband down the thigh. Looking at the inside, I can’t see how the seam could be unpicked and excess removed without reducing the width of the pocket and also running into problems with the copper rivet.

RE: IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Jett129 - That’s great news, I don’t mind paying if it means I will wear them again. Just to confirm, is the seam on the inside or the outside of the leg unpicked? Also, could any tailor do the work or does it need to go to a heavy denim specialist?

RE: IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
neph93 - Many thanks for the advice, yes I have lost some weight recently. Do you think the jeans would recover, if I gave them a hot wash, or is this amount of stretch permanent once it happens? I’m assuming having the having the excess material removed and the seams re sewn would either not be possible or just too costly? Thanks again for the help.

RE: IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but my size 36” 634’s have developed a lot of excess material along the outside edge of the thighs. These ‘wings’ have been getting gradually worse this past year to the point now where I am no longer wearing them because of the way they look. Just wondered if this was common, if they could be altered at all or if not then is there a better cut that would suit my frame more?
Current measurements: waist:18”, front rise:11”, back rise:16”, leg opening (level with crutch seam):13 3/4”, leg width at the knee:10”, hem:9 1/4”. Any advice much appreciated. -
RE: IHXB01 - Beatle Buster 21oz Japanese Selvage Denim Indigo
irishexpat and daynym - Fit looks great on both, the only thing that's holding me back from ordering is the talk about the tight top block. Just how tight are they and can you get your hands in the pockets ok?

RE: IHXB01 - Beatle Buster 21oz Japanese Selvage Denim Indigo
Looking at the IHXB01 for my second pair of IH jeans but could really use a bit of advice. My 634's are a 36" and have now stretched to a 37" which is perfect for me. The only thing that I would change is the rise, which feels just a fraction too low, I'm always trying to pull them up a bit. Anyway, looks like the BB's have that bit of extra rise I'm looking for and the 37" could work just right. The only concern I have is the top block, which everyone says is quit a bit tighter than the 634's. Could I ask if this is size dependant? I couldn't really handle a tighter top block than my 36" 634's, but If the 37" in the B01's is about the same, they might be ok. Hope this all makes sense.
Did consider the 1955's but the rise might be just a bit too much.
Cheers
