Has anyone else found the buckles on these belts to be defective? I have had the prong fall off two of these belts. Not what you expect for the money.

RE: Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
Buttons for braces? Can these be added to jeans? Or an old style workwear denim trouser with buttons and belt loops, even a cinch? My weight can fluctuate and when I am less lardy I can’t get my jeans to stay up.
Depressingly as I get older belt and braces seems like a sensible idea.
Perhaps I just need a bolt to the head.

RE: Shrinkage - What is it?
Pandemic has been great for me, more time for exercise, meditation, yoga, baking, cooking etc.
But I have lost 1.5 stone and some of my jeans have not shrunk with me. What would be the best way to shrink them - each pair I have had had a hand got wash before being hemmed.
Should I try as hot a wash as possible in the washing machine, inside out but with a gentle spin cycle? I don’t have a tumble dryer. Need to permanently lose at least an inch from the waist of the trousers.

RE: Ladies Sizing - Iron Heart Products Available
After sneaking around my wife’s wardrobe I have done a little measuring and taking an average of an x small filson men’s shirt , medium Filson women’s shirt, a large men’s pendleton and large women’s Pendleton that she wears. It appears she is somewhere between a l or xl men’s purple from IH. There isn’t much between all of the shirts them, just the women’s shirts have a more accentuated waist, the shortest sleeves are on the Pendleton men’s shirt.

Haha. No worries you have plenty of time. If this item is in the UK you can order it right away. If it needs to be ordered from Japan, I can honestly say I’ve never had to wait more than 2 weeks. Depends on your location tho. Be sure to check with the crew with what’s available.
Am I right in thinking that the ladies sizes are just smaller versions of the standard garments, as opposed to being cut differently for female body shape?

Oh Christ, this is going to be costly to our household. Any idea of the lead times? It’s my wife’s birthday mid December and then there is Xmas

RE: IHSH-260-PPL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Purple Rain
@dj:
She keeps complaining IH should make women’s garments.
I have some bad news for you. They do. By no means every shirt, possibly only 10-20%, comes in a Ladies S and M. @Giles stocks only a very few, however it is sometimes possible to get others over from Japan.
Yep. The wife's wearing some IH stuff regulary… she likes the UHF a lot, wears a 33 in S and has some hoodies, T's, too. Ordered the Purple Rain in S for her and she should receive a pair of white overalls soon
Reassured this isn’t only happening in our household, as fast as I find clothing for myself (Pendleton, Filson, IH) my wife then wants similar for herself.

RE: IHSH-260-PPL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Purple Rain
My wife has shirt envy. I have a Pendleton shirt that I bought off eBay but was not the listed size was too small. Vendor didn’t want it returned at their cost to the USA so my wife has it. Will now have to see how it measures up against these shirts to see if I can buy her one of these. She keeps complaining IH should make women’s garments.

RE: IHSH-260-PPL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Purple Rain
Really surprised to see this is still readily available in most sizes. Some great colourways this year but, for me, this is the killer.
Where are you? UK has sold out of quite a few sizes.
Am a little surprised at how long the arm measurements are, am hoping it fits as there are no xxl left and the xxxl that should fit my chest measures at least an inch longer in the sleeves than my cpo jacket and cordura work shirt.

RE: IHSH-260-PPL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Purple Rain
I’ll probably wait a bit and decide later about pimping. Possibly next time I buy some jeans and they need hemming.

RE: IHSH-260-PPL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Purple Rain
Had been coveting these since the preview. Sizing is weirdly small so have had to order a xxxl. And they appear to be selling fast.
While dithering about pimping the snaps another one sold so have decided to buy now and consider pimping later.

RE: IHSH-253-BRN - 11oz Cordura® Satin Work Shirt - Brown
It’s arrived. Considering I was looking for a cotton duck cpo shirt this summer it’s perfect - actually better because the fabric feels soft.
Very pleased.

RE: IHSH-253-BRN - 11oz Cordura® Satin Work Shirt - Brown
Have been waiting for this since it was announced. I have the overdyed CPO shirt IHSH-178 in xxl but it is just under 24" p2p, so have ordered this in XL. Really hope it fits well

RE: IH-634S-21BLK - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Black/Beige
So happy with these. I like the beige, it’s similar to the pronto denim. Got them hemmed so they have a 2.5” turn up to show off the contrast. Will be a great addition to the wardrobe, I had William Lennon make me some black oiled suede chukka boots and these trousers go so well with them. I also got the obl black belt in the sale and they compliment the jeans and boots well too.
Fabric is surprisingly soft from the outset, will be interested to see how it fades.
Fit is comfortable, I cycle quite a lot and have large thighs so it’s great to find jeans that fit.

RE: IH-634S-21BLK - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Black/Beige
We are one of the last places on our DPD drivers route so unlikely. It’s only two nights away so won’t be long until I get to wear them.

RE: IH-634S-21BLK - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Black/Beige
@dj:
40 degree and low spin?
That would do. Although very hot bathtub and a bit of agitation would be best. You’ll minimise the risk of abrasion marks that way.
Followed your advice, turned boiler temp to max, and soaked the jeans in very hot water and agitated.
Lost just over an inch from waist and 1 3/4 inches from seam. Hopefully the jeans will get back to me from IH HQ in time for a trip to the lake district tomorrow but the courier is more than likely to come 5 minutes after we depart.

No worries. But back to the question at hand should I wash them now to get the shrinkage out of the way?
