I am looking to hem my 555-21 and want to ensure that they are done on the right machine with the right quality and attention to detail to get the best result. While I am not against sending to IHUK, I would like to ask whether anyone has any good experiences getting a chain stitch done in Canada (Toronto specifically). I’d obviously like to avoid shipping costs but if that’s unavoidable IHUK it is!

I’d look at some long term reviews.  I haven’t seen anyone complaining of chipping. I wouldn’t hesitate. It’s a great choice either way.

Ended up going with the S90v. So far so good. Looking forward to putting it to good use. And will make sure this one doesn’t get pinched!

Both are great quality.  S30 is a bit more practical since it’s easier to sharpen and the S90 is considered a bit higher quality due to its better edge retention and hardness.

I’ve read the s90 could chip, given its hardness. I’m currently debating whether to go with the standard 940 or the carbon fibre upgrade with the s90. Sharpening wouldn’t be an issue, but obviously wouldn’t want to chip the premier s90.

Hi all, I’ve a couple of IH items (large N1 black new and 555 indigo in 34 worn a few times) I’d like to sell, but before I post, I’d like to better understand the buy / sell best practice. Ideally, I’d like to receive payment before I ship, so how do buyers “vet” sellers to ensure they (buyers) are comfortable with a transaction?

Hi all, looking at both the 1301 and 1700. Can anyone shed light on the difference? I’m going to have to assume that the 1700 is heavier weight with not much other difference other than perhaps fit. Do I have this right?

Hi all, I have a pair of 555s (14oz) that are just a bit roomie in the waist and thinking about a hot soak and throwing them in the dryer. I know this goes against the product care guidelines and have read that this could result in white marks.

Does anyone have any experience or advice in taking this approach? While shrinkage is desired, white marks are not.

Has anyone tried to shrink a 1600 in the dryer? I was given an XXL and it is a full size too large. I am tempted to give it a soak and toss is in the dryer. Does anyone have any advice? Many thanks!!
