I’d love something sorta like that but just in black. Camp collar. Seems like there’d be more out there but they’re elusive.

It’s not IH, but Butterscotch has an ADDICT CLOTHES JAPAN black camp collar shirt. I have the long sleeve ombré camp collar shirt and it’s been my go to when it’s too warm for a proper flannel.

I forgot about this record! I would track down the most obscure Japanese hardcore records, whether they were bootlegs or blog uploads because I was absolutely obsessed with the Burning Spirits sound.

Cool, some solid stuff here. Already aware of the new Helpless release and think it’s great. I used to really like the stuff put out on Holy Roar records which went to shit after some allegations against the label boss. It looks like quite a few acts migrated to Church Road, which I was totally unaware of . Thanks again

Holy Roar reminds me of posting on the old B9 board. That 2005-2015ish time frame produced so many killer bands like Rot In Hell, On Thin Ice - that whole Clevo/Holy Terror scene, A389 Records, the whole lot. So many hidden gems.

So, these might be the comfiest pair of denim I’ve had. I’ve abused them straight every day since ripping open the IH bag and they get better and better. These are quick faders. Already a good wallet fade. Because they are my everything denim, I had to hose them off a bit haha

So a quick follow up: I wanted a pair primarily for work so I went with the 4470, which comes with a steel toe (I manage a retail store stock room amongst other things). I’m glad I went with E vs D because otherwise I feel like it would’ve been a little snug in the toe box. Now, it’s time to use and abuse them until the Wesco boots arrive lol

Looking at a pair of Pecos now. How do they compare to your other Red Wings sizewise? I wear a 9D in Iron Rangers and wondering if a 9D in Pecos would be the right size. I have average narrow feet, so not worried about width.

In my experience, I fit an 11D in everything from RW (8196, oxfords, Beckman, etc) I chose something a bit wider because I’m on my feet all day and a little extra room is never a bad thing and I really like how my Blundstones fit comfort wise.

After going with a WESCO engineer boot, I stumbled onto a pair of gently used Pecos that I picked up that’ll be designated work boots for a while. I’m curious to see how an E width feels vs D.

I think I’m set for boots now haha - says everyone before buying more

Had my 777's for over a year now and still haven't gotten the stretch that I'd hoped to get. I've stayed the same weight but they are just still super tight. Bought a 30" hoping they'd stretch to a 31" but no luck yet. Any recommendations?

Do they fit too tight in other areas aside from the waist? If so it might be worth going up a size or perhaps even try out a different cut. If it’s been a year, I’d say it’s not going to get a lot better.

In my case, I don’t get a lot of stretch in the waist with my pairs so I can go with my natural size and not worry about sizing down, but it’s all depending on how you wear your denim / body.

The waxed flesh is super interesting to me. The pairs I’ve seen that have been thrashed have such a unique look. Butterscotch offered a boot from Truman in a black waxed flesh that really grabbed my attention, but WESCO has been on my wishlist for many years. Same with a proper engineer boot.

Poor taste aside, the whole thing reads odd imo. I’ve never been a DR person though - I gravitate towards The Shop or Rivet & Hide style wise.

I haven’t kept up with RW in a long time, but these do seem to be discontinued which is a bummer. A lot of their current offerings don’t really do anything for me.

That said, I’d love to have the East Dust x RW pecos in a size 11

They are! I tried the Iron Ranger, but just didn’t love them. The briar oil slick color sold me on the 8196 and I’ve loved how they’ve aged. At this point, it’s like wearing a pair of slippers.
