Thanks for the kind words @Seul and @nemesisnow1200
Same goes for these guys, btw - as if that even needed re-stating. Super quick payment and great comms.
More goodies posting up soon for your perusal…

Btw, sorry for disappearing off the grid a bit - will endeavour to post a bit more…
@GingerMagician Good sale, all as described and excellent delivery service used…....
Don't hesitate to deal with @dave28 - super smooth transaction last week for my 'purps' work shirt
Not been participating on the forum much this year (keeping an eye on all the cool shit from afar though ), but I’m gutted to be missing F&C this year - especially with an England game I’m actually looking forward to (for once!) thrown into the mix.
Big love to you all, have an amazing time. Looking forward to seeing the pics!
Well hell , I never knew this thread existed until @GingerMagician recently enlightened me.
Recently picked up a piece from him and it went smoothly. And in the past I have picked up a few pieces from others as well. @Clint_D @Appfaff and there was one very knowledgeable guy @Giles that seemed to know a little bit about these fine clothes.
Thanks to all mentioned above
Thanks @J-diddy - enjoy the jacket!
Just wanted to (belatedly) say it was great to see everyone down in Gosport a couple of weeks ago. Such a fantastic bunch of people there for @Giles big day.
Huge thanks to @Madame Buttonfly for all her hard work making it happen
See all you beautiful people again soon! (I hope ;))
Hi @GingerMagician
Green is back!
For real @Aetas #ihganggreen
Great to see the 107 getting so much love, btw
Ditto on the colour, red makes me look paler than this guy…
I'll be there @trail and arrow - though, alas, not staying at the Spring Garden this time round. Jen and I are in the Premier Inn. Arrive around lunchtime Saturday, then heading off on Sunday afternoon (assuming the trains play ball).
As @rocket says, he knows where the booze is. But I could always be persuaded to put in a guest appearance behind the bar…

Simon, are you in? I realy need to see this happening again:
Should've been sacked years ago…
@Giles - web page needs correcting; currently says 'Black or White', rather than 'Black or Grey'
soooooooooo…i finally was able to check both watches of interest out in person the other day
while first being blown away from the tudor, the watch i actually want to buy as a birthday present to myself, i soon had to realize, after putting on and wearing the rolex for a couple of minutes, that i wasn't that sure anymore about the "simplicity" of the tudor. all black everything and really nothing that gave me that "boom, this is it" feeling…which the rolex gave me. so now i'm looking into copping a rolex sub as part of my 30th birthday present looking for a 1987 model in perfect shape...just in case you guys are keeping an eye out for me
talking about chrono24...has anyone in europe bought a watch from the states and had it shipped to your door? if yes, did you have any problems with customs or so? need/want to avoid that if amorphe possible
@Finn666 - a few things to note, Rafa, given I don't think anyone has mentioned that the Sub has changed significantly since 1987 (especially since Rolex last updated it):
What this all boils down to is I would strongly advise you try a period model on (i.e. not just a new one) before making a decision, as I don't think the current model is particularly indicative of what you should expect.
HTH
Have been AWOL from the forum for the last month, so just catching up on this. Looks like an awesome experience @Giles & @Madame Buttonfly - look forward to seeing the finished article in September…they will be done by then, right?!
Any recommendations for reliable independent watch repairs/servicing in the UK @Tempvs ?
I have a Bremont Supermarine that's probably overdue it's first service and has now got very 'sticky' when winding manually. Still running fine, but it's now losing time (-3) as opposed to gaining it when I last checked a year or so ago (+4).
Obviously I have the option to send it back to Bremont, but they're not the cheapest on that front - hence my request for alternative options…
Boom! Big up to Gav, for hatching the plan and executing it perfectly.
What neph said @Megatron1505 - well played, sir.
Look forward to seeing what you go for @Giles x
