@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot 5 seconds after I took the pic my Jack Russell ran in and knocked me off. No longer living on the edge.

@Mizmazzle yeah, I'm too old to stand on the edge of my bath, but too cheap to buy a better mirror.

RE: HarDenCo
@Fadez thanks brother! (But the leather patches are a map of CT, because they're based just outside Hartford, CT). (CT is generally a B- / C+ kinda state, but at least it's developing a small but dedicated raw denim community).

HarDenCo
My new Hardenco work jacket! I just happen to live local to Hardenco (Hartford Denim Company in CT), and I went there after work today to pick up my IH666 25oz jeans they hemmed for me (Luke is the best hemmer in the western hemmer-sphere). I made the rookie mistake of checking out their jackets while carrying a wad of cash (pay day), and this was the result.
https://www.hardenco.com/ If you're ever in CT or southern MA you should drop in. They make everything onsite, and are lovely guys. Also, they have lots of bits and pieces that aren't sold on their website, such as end of runs (like this jacket) and restored vintage jeans that they've bought back from previous customers.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
@Matt -- thanks so much -- this is really helpful! I should have thought to check the measurements for the different material, but didn't realize this was a thing. For the 21oz, I'm going to look at the 634 and 633 cuts, as these might be closer to my 25oz 666 pair,

RE: Pets
@Alex congratulations -- that's a gorgeous puppy. Is the breeder the slightly rummy woman outside Cambridge who insists you walk the father down by the river, to make sure you know what you're doing? This looks like one of hers.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
It feels like I've been searching for the perfect pair of jeans for decades (actually, I'm 53 so I probably have). I recently bought my first pair of IH: the 666 in 25oz size 33, and it was instant love. They fit and hang beautifully. Incredible craftsmanship etc. I think I'll wear this cut for life. But I also wanted a pair just a bit less heavy, so bought a pair of 666 in 21oz, overdyed. They are also absolutely gorgeous, but the fit is really quite different. They are the same size as my 25oz (33) but are slimmer throughout the leg. (BTW I hot soaked the 25oz but not these, as they already seemed quite a lot slimmer).
Long story short, I'm going to sell on the overdyed 666s (I wore them half a dozen times before deciding against them, so can't return), but still would like to get a pair in 21oz. So, if I buy the 666 21oz in the standard indigo (IH-666S-21) will the cut be more like my beloved 25oz, or slimmer like the overdyed?
If this is the wrong place for this question please let me know! Thanks everyone.

RE: IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
You lot are the best. Thanks for all the feedback. I'm wearing them this morning for some garden work. Hoping the more physical activity they get the quicker they'll fit to my body shape.

RE: IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
@goosehd -- thanks so much for the quick response! I think I'll just keep wearing them for now to see how they fall after more wear. Then I'll probably take a least an inch off.
Good grief but these jeans are amazing! The problem with wearing something like this is that I never want to go back to my cheaper lighter jeans. I may need to move somewhere cold so I can keep wearing them all year.

RE: IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
I just got my first really heavy pair of IH delivered, and I love them. I gave them a hot soak, and they are surprisingly comfy. I'm a 54-year old slightly tubby dude, looking for honest feedback. I like to both cuff and stack jeans, but do I need to hem these a bit? Are the stacks too much? Thanks!

RE: SDA - Studio D'Artisan
A quick SDA question -- does anyone here know f they make their SDA-107 (super tight straight) in any other fabrics? I like the cut a lot, but find the 15oz a bit too mid for me.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
Thanks to everyone for all the help with my first IH forum question: I really appreciate the thoughtful guidance, and will take your advice. Or alternatively, I'll neck a couple of beers and chuck them in the machine with a gallon of bleach and a quick prayer, and then post pictures of the subsequent disaster. Either way, thanks again.
Yours windily,

Thank you! I'm not going for a full bleach in this case. I'm thinking instead just a splash of bleach to highlight the fades. Just not sure if that will work with overdyed jeans…

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
Hi all,
First time Iron-Hearter here. I recently bought two pairs of IH on ebay, both 14oz, both used but close to new. The 555s I got I'm going to wear and allow to fade in their own sweet (very sweet) time. But I also bought some overdyed 666, which I'd like to 'force-fade'. A user on reddit has achieved amazing fades washing monthly on a hot cycle with a cup of bleach in the washing machine each time. Does anyone have any advice as to whether this might work with my overdyed?
Thanks everyone!
Julian
