Well, I got it on Friday. Took 2.5 hours to do the outline. Go back in two weeks for the fill in. Hurt like hell. I'll post a pic when there is more to show. Right now it's just an outline. But I'm happy with it. Still a bit freaked out, but overall happy. Thanks again all you guys for the support, advice and pics.

Pics of my first purchase from Iron Heart! I'm still so high. I'm strutting around the apartment like a peacock. Where will it all end?

Sorry, Beatle. While I wasn't confused, I certainly didn't mean to offend.

My first purchase from IH finally arrived. I'm so friggin' excited. I would be lying if I didn't say I got a woody when I put on the 634SRs!!! Man they are fucking great! Also got some 9634s (while they still have buttons), a bitchen belt and wallet. I've been puttin them on and taking them off all night. I just can't keep out of them. I'll post vids when that feature is back up. Thanks everyone for introducing me to all this. And thank YOU Giles for making it happen. Now I'm gonna have to sell my mother to pay for them!

RE: Tattoos
ricochet, thanks for sharing! That's a cool sleeve. I like the tears and the rose. And I checked out the link to the French artist (thanks Stewart). Wow. I think it's a bit too modern for me. But it's interesting to see the medium evolving. Not too long ago it was just skulls and anchors. Now it is really becoming an art form to be reckoned with. I go on Friday. Am starting to freak out. Yipes!

RE: Tattoos
Pete! Wow! Excellent. Thanks man for the pics. So cool and inspirational. I absolutely love the work. Very well done. It is that level of artistry that I am going for. Stewart, I knew you would have at least one! And Till, I definitely hear you. The thing is, I have been planning this tattoo for months. I was joking when I said the jeans made me do it. I researched and interviewed artists, found one that "got" my vision and will only settle for a true work of art. This is not some simple body decoration for me. I collect contemporary american art and each year, for my birthday, I commission a new piece from an artist I admire and respect. This year I decided to commission a piece from a tattoo artist with my body as the canvas. Oh, and Dr. Pat, I did google Tattoo Regret and read a lot of postings. Ricochet, thanks for the advice. You got a pic of your sleve? I would love to see it. Thanks everyone. I knew I would get an ear full here. Glad to get it.

RE: Tattoos
Hectic,
I don't know what came over me. First I got some 634SRs (thank you Giles) and the next thing you know, I'm getting a huge friggin tattoo on my torso! I won't actually see the design till I go on the 15th. We've discussed it in detail, but he's drawing it up now. When I go, he'll draw it on my body. We'll make adjustments and then, if I like it, do the outline in ink. I'll keep you all posted. Still hoping for some advice from you inked guys/gal.

Tattoos
Hey gang,
I'm going for a my first tattoo next Friday, January 15th. Never done it before and am getting a pretty ambitious one - tribal, going from my right thigh to my left shoulder. Nervous as hell and excited as hell. I figure some of you have got to have them. Any advice? Pics? Words of caution? Would love to hear from you! Thanks.

RE: 2009 Edition - Iron Heart & Triple Works edition WAYWT
Hey Arrow, great pics. I'm jealous. Mine don't arrive for a week or so. Did you soak in them? I'm interested in your technique. I'm going to put together a guide (see earlier post to this thread). Keep taking pics, I want to use them for the "guide" (if that's cool with you). Everyone seems to have a different technique. Really cool.

RE: 2009 Edition - Iron Heart & Triple Works edition WAYWT
I always put my jeans on damp after first soak…only because I am like a big kid and can't wait to get 'em on !
Stewart, I'm just a big kid too! I love sitting in the tub with them on and then walking around with them hanging heavy on my hips, knowing they're gonna mold to my body as they dry. I know everybody thinks I'm crazy (and maybe I am), but I'm gonna try it anyway.
Thanks, everybody. I promise to do flicks of the whole process. I would love to come up with a "How To" guide that incorporated all the excellent advice already dished up here. Augment it with pix of the process from start to…, well not "finish" as I plan on having these puppies for EVER! But I think a guide/diary would be way cool.
So neat to know there are other guys out there with the same over the top passion that I have for the jeans.

Hey Doug, hadn't thought of that! I guess I'll just have to hang them to dry. Thanks.

RE: 2009 Edition - Iron Heart & Triple Works edition WAYWT
Hey Tfar, DougNG and Seul,
Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll chronicle the progress in pics as I go along. Still can't decide if I should soak with them. Not 10 hours of course. But I'm thinking if I do several soaks in warm/hot water with them on - say 1 hour at a time, several times - and then wear them till they dry each time I may get something I'm looking for - the perfect fit. Am I being absolutely stupid? I can't friggin' wait till they arrive. Happy holidays everyone. Glad I found you all and IH.

RE: 2009 Edition - Iron Heart & Triple Works edition WAYWT
Hey all. Just got my very first pair of IH (643SR). Any advice on breaking them in? I'm normally a 501 STF guy, so this is all new to me. Got my eye on the 9634 too, but can't decide. Love this forum. Been up all night reading it. Thanks.
