He's more Utah-adjacent.
LMAO!
@cander49 Yep, I'm on the FRange. I spend as much time in UT as possible though; greatest hidden gem in the whole Union. I try to get 4-8 days of backcountry skiing around SLC every winter, a couple trips to Indian Creek every Spring and Fall and usually spend some time climbing around St. George. Almost went for a design job at Kuhl a year ago. Don't regret passing it up but…
@fanya - Thanks! I've been designing and making clothing for a couple decades now & I rarely get a chance to make something for myself so this has already been a real treat. That said, 18.5 oz was at the limit of my normal equipment. Any more and I would have had to switch to walking foot machines which I don't prefer to sew on.
@BloodnThunder - Wow, you can already see where those Roy's are going, special.
@tfahey00 - Hell Yeah!
@moto
Good Eye! Specifically, I'm in Gunbarrel Colorado; those photos are basically my backyard.
@Filthy 21/23oz junkie - Thanks man, I'll pass that on to my neighbor who took the photos. I'm diggin the end of the day photo you put up.
Cheers to all!
Day 1, 1st time wearing 'em, walking the dog around our `hood:
Almost forgot to add the obligatory "Jeans Standing On Their Own" gag:
That one never gets old.
Cheers!
Hey all, I put this up on SuFu & I thought maybe I should post here too:
Earlier post, more about the denim: https://supertalk.superfuture.com/topic/160960-dwc2-2017-2019/?page=5&tab=comments#comment-3260669
And the follow up:
I meant to have these done four or five days ago but I've been busy. Last night and tonight I got to business, sent my $20 and lo & behold, I have an entry:
18.5oz Kuroki Mills by Jorge Pantalones.
and a quick soak before I wear them tomorrow:
I made these along with 10 other pair. Here are a few process photos:
Cutting table chaos
Setting the run & fell, then I finished it on a Kansai dbl. needle chainstitch machine
My beloved Singer 69-8. I honestly wasn't sure if it would plow through all ten layers of this 18.5oz denim but it handled it with aplomb.
Contest hasn't even started yet and I've already had a blast. I'll get some pics of them on tomorrow when it's light out.
Cheers!
