Took a bit of a chance on my first Horsehide Leather jacket but arrived today exceeding my expectations for quality construction and fit. Not knowing how other Simmonsbilt Horsehides compare I am very happy with the prairie horsehide with it being substantial yet soft and supple. I am not selfie skilled enough and probably too tall to post the new Wesco Maryam Horsehide boots and this jacket in the same frame but they match beautifully. Now to see how they age

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2024 EDITION
First pair of Wesco’s Collab with IH in maryam brown horsehide. The first two kms were surprisingly comfortable thanks to the Vibram Lug Sole being softer than expected. Lots of room in toe box, the instep will take some time to soften up but not tight just new uncreased leather.
Added 3 more IH pieces for the walk and would’ve walked further if my dog had longer legs

RE: Introduce Yourself Here
As an ironheart fan since 2014 having purchased two pair of jeans and two jackets, i am now “collecting” the uhf, quickly accumulating 4 pieces and a waffle workshirt that is on its way.

RE: Introduce Yourself Here
@Mister_Brue Thank you, it’s nice to be here. I am 11 pieces of the fine IH clothing in and figured it was time to join the forum as i am sure we are all as passionate about the products as i have become, and find great topics here specific and general to each piece and each new release. Along with it being a very welcoming community with thoughtful and respectful members!

RE: IHWE-JMHH-BRN - Iron Heart Int'l x Wesco® - 8" Maryam Horsehide Jobmaster® Boot
I had my mind set on a Wesco engineer boot but with a wide foot and high instep and limited wide options available here and everywhere, i ordered this beauty jobmaster collab…hoping they fit true to size and the open blucher accommodates a little room for width and wintery socks. Will post a pick with them and uhf 403 next week

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
@borosillykid went with a 321 overdyed. To start with denim shirting i decided on the lighter weights.

RE: Live Concerts
Very happy the Rolling Stones booked one Canadian date on their last tour. Rumours they are ready to confirm some European dates?

RE: IHSH-234-BLK - Heavy Kersey Western Shirt - Black
@Dmart Thanks for the reply and insight. I too am so impressed riding a bike with IH flannel. Just today i rode with a fleece hoody and it didn’t block the wind at all. I work a bit at home in the winter months and am thinking the Kersey might be a great shirt for indoor winterwear when I frequently have to answer the door in the bitter cold to interact briefly with clients. The Kersey seems it would be comfy indoors and warm enough to tolerate open door wintery weather for a few minutes here and there.

RE: IHSH-369-GRY - 12oz Slubby Heavy Flannel Herringbone Check Western Shirt - Grey
This was my first IH flannel, which led quickly to the UHF in Red Hombre, then Green Hombre, then 9oz Selvedge in Blue Check, two western and two workshirts so thoroughly enjoying my new shirt collection after being solely IH jeans and jackets only for the past 12 years. There might be a better place to post my query but will start here since it is specific to my first flannel piece. I seem to have a fairly good handle on caring for the jeans and jackets since they are one washed and I have little concern about overwashing or shrinking. The fading and softening and washing when the nose knows has been a satisfying occurrence with my jeans and denim jackets. Now as I enter the IH shirt world and I have read alot on how to wash I don’t see as much on when to wash. Should I just keep up with the nose knows and be sure to cold wash my xxxl and perhaps bit warmer water on my xxxxl if I want a bit of shrinkage in shoulders and sleeves, or cold wash all but dry the 4x in a dryer to realize some shrinkage? I don’t necessarily need to shrink any but i defiinitely don’t want to shrink the 3x at all but don’t want to never wash either if i should be? I am 6ft 4 in 235 lbs btw, 3x are not tight but perfect in sleeves and shoulders and waist, where 4x are bit big in shoulders but hang nicely with room for layering as needed. As always, all advice is appreciated.

RE: IHSH-397-IND - 21oz Sashiko Work Shirt - Indigo
Not that i needed one just because i didn’t have one…but i thought i got my hands on an IH 397 Sashiko seeing sellouts everywhere until i see my xxxxl at a nearby vendor. Placed order, got confirmation, went happily on a bike ride. Got home to an email the order was cancelled due to an “inventory glitch”. Even though i have two IH shirts on the way, this sashiko excitement turned quickly to disappointment. Anyone out there know if a 4xl exists for sale anywhere?

RE: IHSH-403-GRY - 11oz Ultra Heavy Flannel Line Check Western Shirt - Grey
On order at the nearest Canadian stockist but almost ordered another 4XL from the UK too when there was a few left because of an “inventory glitch” last time i ordered a 21oz sashiko 397 from this vendor. Called the vendor, apparently no inventory glitch on my order this time, but time will tell if geographically nearest stockist will ship as quick as Gosport always has Always amazed how quick i receive my items from the UK️

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
Black Denim Shirt
As a fan I am starting to accumulate a nice collections of jeans, jackets, and flannels, and am ready to pull the trigger on a denim shirt. I am giving serious consideration to the Kersey, the Double Cloth, and 10 oz selvedge, and the Mock Twill, all in
Black all in Western. I am leaning towards reactive dye liking the less fading but maybe the overdye or sulphur dyes age nicely with some fades? Any recommendations to get me into a denim shirt…sooner than later -
RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
@chrisjohnnick that is a great choice, i just need another 3/4 or inch in the waist and that size is one of the few n/a
