I haven’t got the watch game of many here, but I’m proud of this Carrera Heuer reissue from 1996 that I picked up 10 odd years ago. I’d always liked the Carrera TAGs, but this reissue just struck me as classic and unfussy.

RE: IHSH-372-BRN - Ultra Heavy Flannel Brown Crazy Check Western Shirt - Brown
My shirt arrived yesterday, it’s my first IH piece and like many I was stressing a little on sizing, I went with the XXL I think I nailed it thanks to the measurements provided here, Corelection, and other retailers.
With this purchase and sizing going well I’ll feel much more confident for more pieces in future.
No fit pics yet, it’s been 30*c+ here and humidity around 80%+, not heavy flannel weather

Dug out an old Stones record, it’s seen better days, but still turns well. -
RE: Introduce Yourself Here
Hi all, I'm a relapsing after 10 years of raw denim sobriety. Really intrigued by the Iron Heart garments, though most of them are completely unsuitable for weather here in Brisbane, Australia - especially this time of year. I've no doubt there's a few Aussies around these forums though.
I've been lurking through the forums the past few days, envious of some great limited release products that I've missed, but excited to see what's to come. I know there'll be a few shirts in my future at the very least. Currently eyeing IHSH-13-BLU (is 10oz chambray going to be too hot here?) and IHSH-308-IND (12oz herringbone definitely too hot right now, but I love some herringbone!). And I'm drawn to the 633 14oz, but I'm in between the 36 and the 38 according to Self Edge's measurements.
Thanks for this great forum!

RE: IHSH-189-BRN - 17oz Duck CPO Work Shirt - "The UnTucked" - Brown
@JunkPants said in IHSH-189-BRN - 17oz Duck CPO Work Shirt - "The UnTucked" - Brown:
@BD81 Rivet and hide has XXL in stock. (I just got an XL from them, this thing is great).
This was true once again; Rivet and Hide had a XXL in stock yesterday. This thread is responsible for me fixing the situation.

Brisbane, Australia. Hot and humid lately!

RE: Wax Treasure (Vinyl)
I’ve got a growing collection of records, a mix of blues/rock, classic rock, and hip-hop vibes. Most of it is new or re-issued, but I’m lucky to have some of my Dad’s original Beatles and Rolling Stones records.

RE: Introduce Yourself Here
Thanks all for the warm welcome! I love the details, aesthetic and obvious quality of IH, it won't be long until something is winging it's way to me.
I knew there'd be some Aussies and other folks burdened by hot climates around the place. I'm looking forward to the Sprin/Summer collection, which I think should be announced soon. Some 9oz unbrushed flannels would be perfect for our Winter.
@Oaktavia , as you might already know, it's the logo from the 80s TV show Airwolf, a favorite of mine as a child. The theme song has been my phone's ring tone for what must be 20 years now, since an old Nokia I had to program the notes into myself!

RE: Quotes Worth Quoting
One of my late father's favourites, I'm sure he got it from somewhere: "Bullshit baffles brains, fucks science, and rules the world"
Seems more apt every day.

I'm expanding my jazz appreciation thanks to the likes of you @J-IV and @GraemeE, much appreciated. I'm interested, but don't know much of where to start, so I'm enjoying putting your suggestions on the stereo via Apple Music.

RE: Watches - another OCD problem
@Bridger Thanks. Although made after Heuer sold and they became TAG Heuer, they did the re-creation of the 60s classic right by keeping the old logo. They even kept it to the original 36mm case, a lot smaller than most watches today, but another feature I quite like.
A quick check shows it worth a little more now than what I paid 10 years ago, but still quite affordable. I also discovered they did a Monaco re-creation the following year in 1997, along the same vein - Heuer branding, small case - and now I'm wondering if I should add it to the collection ...

RE: Heroes (Buying/ Selling/Trading)
Shout out to @MTpockets for fantastic communication in the purchase of a pair of classic IH flannel shirts. The package was sent promptly and safely to the halfway point of my sister in Las Vegas, where it'll be on sent to me down in Australia.
I'm sure the shirts will be in excellent condition when they get here, even if the weather is still stinking hot and they'll have to wait a few more months before getting decent wear time!

RE: Pets
You guys are making me clucky! I think we're still about 1.5 years away from our next dog due to renovation plans and disrupted living arrangements, but I desperately want another dog. My boxer Hobbes passed to early (8 years old) in 2023 and I miss him dearly.

@68degreesorless thanks for this, I was going to ask for Blues suggestions next. I couldn't find this album on Apple, but they had other options for Mississippi Fred McDowell, cheers.
